endo? please help!

Please help me! This is my history: march 2013 thought I had a yeast infection, used Monistat which I learned I was allergic to. Lips, face swelled up. tried to douche ended up with bad BV. Got treated with Clinda (allergic to Flagyl) and steriod creams. BV returned each month. Then October diagnosed with vulvodynia and vulvar vestibulitis. Very painful .Still had BV so I ended up taking 3 rounds of Clinda total in 2013. Vulvodyna would go away once clinda was finished.
Abdominal swelling started in October, looks as if I am pregnant and constipation increased. Just finished taking another round of clinda but still have the pelvic pain and swollen belly. I was hoping it would go down because I thought the BV was causing the belly swelling and pelvic pain.
My periods have gotten shorter and the nerve pain is bad but the cramps are not that bad. Doc wants to do laporoscopy because I can't tolerate the trans-vaginal probe due to extreme pain/ vulvodynia. I didn't think that I had endo because my periods aren't that bad. I do not want to do a lap if it is just maybe endo. Please give me advice! Thank you very much!

Doing the Laparotomy will give your physician a better view of what exactly is going on.  This may or may not be Endo, but nevertheless, you should have the Lap done.

Hi there.  Wowie!  You are going through the ringer!!  I'm sure sorry!!  Gosh, you've just got a lot going on.  Ya know, I'd do what your doctor asks you to do. There could be more uncovered and obviously this is complex.  I don't think there will be a simple answer to you.  the pain could be endo and you sound like you are in a lot of it.  I would have the procedure because I really think you need some answers and this is a way the doctor feels he/she may be able to give them to you.

I would comment on one thing and I'm sure your doctor told you this---  douching is not good for us.  It compounds issues and results in things like bacterial infections and yeast overgrowth.  So, don't ever douche!

But I feel bad for you and with your allergies to different medications, that makes it really hard.  I hope that the procedure yields some answers for you.  If you can, come back and let me know how you are and what they say.  good luck
