menstrual cycle

Dear Doctor,

I had taken femitrone pills to delay my periods for new years, some how i had sex wid my partner that day. I took 'ipill'
in a few hours, i should have had my periods by now.The duration between the two medicines intake must be of 9 hours. Is it possible that femitrone would stop 'ipill' to work? I am worried..please help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Femitrone and morning after pill when taken together can cause withdrawal bleeding and irregular menstrual cycle and it should not interfere with the working of the emergency contraceptive pill. However keep a check on your periods. If you miss them then do a urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your menstrual cycle.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
