Hi. The above is a myth I hate to say. There is no evidence of this. Remember basic hygiene. good luck
While this won't completely prevent UTI's, urinating right after intercourse will help reduce the amount you are getting.
The important thing regarding UTI's from sexual activity again is prevention. Fecal matter is being moved to your urethra. Yep, that's is typically the cause. So, I would address this with your partner to head off UTI's. good luck
Have you tried taking D-Mannose (capsules containing an indigestible sugar and the active ingredient in cranberries)? It remains in solution so ends up in the urine and greatly helps with infections by coating the bacteria and making it harder for them to stick to surfaces such as the urinary tract. It's much more likely for them get to get flushed out by your urine if they do arrive.
Hi, again. Med help is a 'trusted' web site. Let's keep that in mind.
UTI's are painful and I'm sorry you are having them. Things to keep in mind. Hygiene. When you wipe after a bowel movement, wipe front to back. When engaging in sexual activity, anything that has been in or on the outside of the bottom where fecal matter might be needs to stay away from your urethra. You can drink cranberry juice which is said to help as well.
There are also certain anatomical anomalies that can cause recurrent uti's.
You need antibiotics to treat your uti and if you again, have this frequently, you should talk to your doctor to examine why. good lu
Take a look at this trusted website I will list below. It's very hard for some of us to diagnose considering we are not health care professionals.
I would usually give some information but considering I just gave a false piece of information to the last question I answered I would like to read more further that way I'm am not giving any more false advice.
Here is the link the website I think you should take the time out to read:
