negative pregnancy tests, but no period four weeks after plan b

Hi there....I really need some advice, please.

My last period was from September 11-17. I had unprotected sex eleven days after the end of it on September 28. I took plan b about twenty hours afterwards on September 29. On the 29th, I also had protected sex with a condom, but he didn't ejaculate.

I had extremely light spotting from October 6-8, but absolutely nothing besides that.

This Saturday, October 26, it'll have been four weeks since I took plan b. I've taken three pregnancy tests, all of which were negative. My breasts are usually sore and my nipples darken in the two weeks leading up to my period, but they've been this way for three weeks now. For the week after taking the pill, I felt very sick, but have since recovered. I'm very worried that I might be pregnant.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I was pregnant once almost five years ago, but I unfortunately lost the baby in the first trimester. That pregnancy was extremely difficult-I could not eat or sleep. What I'm feeling now is much different and is incredibly mild in comparison. I have had some abdominal pain, sometimes sharp and shooting, but usually just a dull flutter, much like a muscle spasm (in fact, I'm hoping that that's all it is). I have also had some vaginal soreness, somewhat like a bruise that hurts more with pressure. It feels like I've been having bad PMS for a month.

What is the likelihood of me being pregnant? Is it possible that the hormones from the pill are still affecting my body? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Any and all responses are appreciated. Thank you!

I agree with the above that since you took plan b, you are most likely not pregnant.  It would be very unusual and rare to sustain a pregnancy after taking plan b.

Plan b does cause a woman's body to react hormonally and what you could be experiencing is your body regulating after the hormones of plan b were introduced into your system.

good luck

Hello,
Chances of pregnancy are less in your case because you had post coital pill. If you are apprehensive regarding the status of your pregnancy you can get it checked. Most home pregnancy tests that check urine beta-HCG are sensitive to 20-25 mIU/ml of HCG. The test can be positive anywhere from about 2-3 days prior to a missed menses to 4-5 days after, but usually it should be done 7-10 days past your missed period.

Otherwise you can get a serum HCG also done which is more specific than urine pregnancy test.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Oh, I'm very sorry, but I suppose that I need to add this...I have very irregular periods. I was almost certain that I may have been ovulating sometime around the date of my unprotected sex, but it's difficult for me to say without having a regular cycle. The last time I had my period before that week in September was two, almost three months before hand.
