I feel weird when I don't shave or trim. I usually shave once every two weeks, sometimes longer. And I rarely put lotion "down there," sometimes after I shower and lotion my body, whatever is left on my hands, I just put some there. and not close to my actual vagina, just on the sides,

Hi KaylaMarie25,

Most gynaecologists say now that women should not shave their pubic
area. Shaving can actually cause infections. The obgyn that I went to
recently has a poster in her waiting room with a message about this
very thing. You mention lotion too. Also not recommended as many
lotions may contain ingredients that should not be put on this delicate
area. You do whatever you want. However, shaving in this area is not
recommended. Evewisewoman ( Eve)

Hi unknown426,

Just read your comments. You say " the trust issue is not there".
It struck a chord with me. There was a time when I was going to a certain
female doctor and like you, the trust issue was no longer there.
So, I changed doctors. I found another female doctor I trusted. I've been
with my new doctor over five years now and she's the best doctor I've
ever had. She's very thorough and she time to answer my questions.
I always have lots of questions. Anyway, if you don't trust your current
doctor, there must be reasons for this. Trust that. Find a new doctor that
you do trust. I wish you well. Evewisewoman ( Eve)

I've seen the doctor and I was given antibiotics and I'm not using the pills, sprays or lotions and he havent reported any rubbery smell. The trust issue is not there and I wish I can do something to get it back.

I agree with Eve, but that swollen/inflamed might be due to itching. I should know.. I was quite itchy for about a week due to shaving and using lotion. ( I couldn't find mine and used my sisters and didn't realize it had glitter.... not a good place for glitter to be lol). Don't shave or have sex till you're healed... What helped me is a little neosporin (on the OUTSIDE only) and an ice pack.

Hi taylorbaylor,

I just finished reading your post. Don't know what this could be. However
you may have an infection as you mention things like " fluid filled,
inflamed/ swollen.  I would make an appointment to see your family
doctor asap. Infections are nothing to fool around with. If your doctor
doesn't know what it is, she or he might give you a referral to a specialist.
Good luck in finding out what is going on and getting some help. Eve :)
