scared!!

hi I'm going to apologize in advance for this long post... please help! i have been stressing myself out like crazy the passed almost 6 months due to a once positive herpes test. i got tested because i went in for a really bad yeast infection and BV and vaginitis after having sex with a tampon in on accident and leaving it in for about 2 days. They said all my swabs were clear of any std but did a blood test and said that it came back pos for herpes. My doc didn't give me any numbers or even recommend an antiviral and said my visit was completely unrelated to herpes? which i thought was odd, he just sent me on my way. however i got retested about 13 weeks after that and got negative results which confuses me. but i am currently having weird symptoms such as a swollen lymph node in my groin on the left side and some irritation on the left side of my vagina as well. I'm not sure if its because I've been shaving almost everyday and my bathing suit and running shorts were rubbing me raw or if its herpes related. I haven't had a fever or anything and "rash" looking thing down there hasn't gotten worse. it just started yesterday after i wore that bathing suit for a while. I don't know whether i should go back to the doctor and have this looked at or whether i need to stop working myself into a tizzy.

Stop shaving for a while and see if it goes away. Sounds like a shaving rash though as chlorine agitates freshly shaven areas.
