smear

So tomorrow i am getting my first smear test i'm scared because i don't really know what to excpect, i'm worried it might hurt as i've read that some people found it painful. Anyone who's had it care to help me out here?

It went fine, i dont know why i was so worried maybe because i didn't know what to expect

It will feel uncomfortable, like someone is, well, gently scraping your insides. It's only minutely painful, but if you feel extreme pain or if it's too uncomfortable, tell your gynecologist immediately,and they'll stop. Though, it doesn't take more than a minute, so it's over pretty quickly.

They're really uncomfortable and everyone hates getting them. But they're a necessary test to make sure you're not developing abnormal cells. And also, at least in my mind, a pap smear is far less painful than it would be too suffer through a cancer diagnosis that wasn't caught in time.

Just excpect that it will be uncomfortable and it will probably feel like you're having a cramp when the doctor takes the swab, but it's literally over in less than a minute so just count ceiling tiles and it will be over.
