I couldn't wait any longer....I broke down and decorated for Halloween today! DS and I had a blast!
I'm going the cheap route & enjoying others decorations this year.
:-)))
flmagi - I live in Northern Florida, so I know what you mean! I would really like to see some snow for Christmas, but don't think that's going to happen. :)
heatherlynn - We start decorating the house, inside and out, the weekend after Thanksgiving! We just can't wait any longer than that. :) We do the same for easter, I have this neat little tree, only four foot tall, that I decorate. It's just like a Christmas tree, but it is pastel colored and we hang plaster eggs and pastel lights on it!
i'm the same way victoria!!!! the day after thanksgiving the christmas light go up on the house. dec. 1 we decorate inside the house, december 15-20 we get the tree. feb. 2 christmas stuff comes down. april 1st...i decorate for easter. : o) i LOVE dying easter eggs!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!
One of my sisters puts up her Xmas tree in Oct. and decorates it with Halloween stuff, then Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's pretty cool and you get to enjoy the tree a little longer. Not sure if she's gonna do it this year since we've all moved in together. Halloween has always been a pretty big holiday for us, love to have halloween parties and make great costumes. But I think I like the Christmas decorations the best, especially houses with lights. It would be nice if we could have snow for Xmas but not likely in SW Florida, lol.
I love to do the pumpkins and all the decorating. Between now and New Years is my favorite time of year. We even decorate for Thanksgiving! And the day after that, all the Christmas decorations start being put it!
my hubby and i LOVE halloween (we love all holidays lol). we decorate our house really spooky, carve pumpkins, had out candy and go trick or treating (with the kids). since all of our friends have haloween parties we usually don't have one.
i go all out for christmas. i love how pretty everything is.
The fall season is my favorite season and I was born on October 28th, so I fall under the catagory of "Halloween baby"(lol). As I previous mentioned, we are pumkin carvers, a little messy and nothing fancy, but we buy a few large pumkins, gut them, clean, and let the art work begin. The final touch is a candle and find a perfect spot for viewing and a few compliments make us feel good too!
Holloween is around the corner...kid fun time!
