GOLDEN, GLOWING, HALO or ORA SEEN PRIOR TO DEATH
Hello again, I'm posting a comment and some questions about another strange experience I've had. I hope I'm on the right forum to be posting these, if not I'm sorry. Please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong spot and I'll try to get it right the next go around. I've had multiple Spiritual occurrences since childhood but am having surgery 12-6-10 and want to recoup from my surgery before I get into the really strange stuff I've encountered, so I'll be available to answer any questions anyone may have, etc.
The experience I'd like to discuss today is what I call a golden, glowing halo or ora that surrounds a person prior to death. Many times when working as a RN and when visiting ill friends or relatives I have walked into the room and seen a golden, glowing, halo or ora completely surrounding the person. I don't know what the actual name it is referred to is, what causes it, but thought some of you might be able to give me some insight into this phenomena.
The Ora I've seen gives the person an almost angelic appearance and has a very calming effect on both the patient and the person that is visualizing it. I have seen this with very ill people, people who was scheduled to be discharge from the hospital., and on people who neither I nor they knew they were even ill. But one thing is for certain, when it is present, within a day or 2 the person will die. I have not seen it with every person who was going to die or has died, including my own mother. My sister asked me when mom was in the hospital, prior to her death, and we had left the room for a while, "Did you see mom's halo?" I told her, "No I didn't." She said, "Well I sure did, it is huge, how could you not see it?" I told her, "I don't know, but I didn't see it. "When we returned to mom's room, I looked and looked and could not see her halo or ora, but was sure it was there since my sister said she saw it, and by then was outlining the air with her finger showing me where it started and stopped. My best guess would be that this must be another anomaly of this phenomena because even though I've seen it appear around other people in the past, and know what I'm looking for, it can be visible to one person in the room, but is not necessarily visible to all. Is the person or people seeing this being chosen for some reason, and if so why?

Oh, I bet that was very interesting. I've never met with anyone like that. I've never even went to a psychic. I'm glad to hear that you had a cleansing/rejuvenation type experience by meeting with that person. Also, taking 15 mins to an hour a day meditating will help clear the mind and help reopen blocked areas allowing you to become more receptive. Have A Nice Night!
Oh, I totally believe that if you dont use it you will lose it. And I've heard that we are more recpetive when we are younger because life and life experiences havent gotten in the way yet. We are so pure then, and nobody has told us we cant do that yet.
I recently spent some time with an intuitist. She told me that my kids and wife are intuitive, and since that meeting (it was only yesterday) I feel so much different. Like clearer, no fog so to speak..... maybe I will concentrate on getting some of this back.

Hello The deja- vu you had may have actually been premonitions, which can be both while asleep or awake. I had them when I was younger in the form of dreams, but injured my back in 2000 and have an implanted morphine pump. The narcotics now block my dreams to the point that I can't remember them which I really hate. I actually saved a person's life with one of my premonitions which I am quit proud of. I'll write a post sometime after my surgery on 12-6 about things I experienced in my premonitions.
The difference in premonitions and deja-vu is that with deja-vu you have been there or done that before, (now it's possible to say hey I remember dreaming about that but it's not the same thing as knowing you've actually been there or done that same thing before.) but with premonitions it tells of future things to come.
You said you got bored with what you were experiencing because it happened so frequently. It's possible that if you try to block it out, you lose the ability. Kinda like if you don't use it, you lose it, so to speak. Also, I think when we are younger we are more receptive and have plenty of time to notice what's coming through, and as we age we get so busy just trying to keep up with our everyday things in life that we block or ignore what we are being given because we just don't have time to mess with it? I don't know that my theories are right on those but I suppose it's possible.

I've always been intrigued by stories like this. I must admit, I've been a skeptic for a long time looking for solid proof of my own in order to give creedance to this.
Through my life, I've been around people who've had different "abilities". Quite a while back I mentioned that I used to have deja-vu all of the time, almost to the point where it got boring. Making a long story short, we somehow ended up with a cleaning lady named Berniece. (My mom was a teacher, so it wasnt like we were rich) Berniece would show up a day or two a week. One morning I was about to tell her about my experiences and before I could really get into the meat of the subject she told me "there are a lot of people like us". About as soon as this lady entered our lives, she was gone. I'd see her on the street and she wouldnt address me.... just weird.
I do not remember much activity since then, but it does pop up every once in a while. Before it was very detailed, like entire tests and answers in elementary school. Nowadays, its completely random and scattered and it can happen right before something happens or days or weeks before. The detail isnt there and I often miss whats happening and dont make the connection until after it happens.

Hello. It sounds like what you experienced was definitely similar to my experience, other than the color. I don't know if your theory is correct on what we seen or not either, but it is certainly a beautiful explanation of what it might be. I hope if that is the case I have a great BIG light all around me when my time does come because I want those doors WIDE OPEN :). How fascinating! I have a theory about what you saw, however I've never seen one myself so I can't be certain what you saw. Maybe when a person is dying and they only have a few days left, heaven is obliged to open a doorway near to the dying person so that the soul can be recieved. The glow you see may be an actual reflection from the doorway, and may not actually originate from the dying person. I had a similar experience when I visited the hospital. The man laying on the gurney next to me was extremely ill with cirrhosis of the liver and his eyes were yellow from jaundice. He was very sick, but managed to sit upright to read his bible. I glanced over at him and I noticed a lot of light all around him. The light was unusually white so I looked around him, trying to figure out what flourescent lightbulb was lighting him up so much. I even experienced a moment of envy at how beautiful he looked because he seemed to be glowing. I don't know if that patient died, but I do know they admitted him that night. oh you write so beautifully ...Dont share it if it could in any way affect the experience,I think you are right and one person must be more aware than others in the room to see the aura..I hope others have similar experiences aswell .
Hello, It could possible be genetic because mom had several psychic gifts as well. I'm sure I am a sensitive etc. because of my experiences that I've had since childhood which like I said in my post I will start mentioning one by one after my surgery on 12-6. There is one experience involving my Mom in October that is very personal and I have a picture of the experience, but I'm still deciding whether I will or will not be discussing that one because it was so personal and was between me and my mom. I feel it was an experience meant for ME by her and will she decide to not visit again if I share it? Anyway, I'll keep thinking about it and decide later. Have A Wonderful Day Marg. and God Bless.
Do you know reading this ,and yes you are in the right place, I am wondering if its coming from you and your sister so it would be genetic , that perhaps you are natural sensitives, like you I dont have the right words, so you would see a halo/light were others may not see it, somewhere I have have heard of this , have you ever put it into a search engine under paranormal to see what comes up.I actually like the thought of this phenomena its comforting.
