Hubby and I..
My hubby and I both have lost a parent, him his dad and myself my mom. Every place we've lived since my mom has passed, we've felt her presence. Now, since his dad passed, we've felt his presence. With both situations, it's been every place we've lived in.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this occur with them?

Hello Linda, I'm sure you do miss her. I'm sure you and your husband's parents are right there with you guys. My mom passed Dec 23, 2006 and I miss her physical presences every single minute of every day. She was present in my old house, and the one I'm in now, as well. If I were to move again tomorrow, there is no doubt in my mind she'd be right there, too.
I'm in the house mom lived in when she was alive. I get a lot more exposure to the things mom's spirit does and the subtle and sometimes not so subtle hints or occurrences that she displays to let me know she is still here. My sister gets ticked off because she doesn't get as much exposure to mom's spirit as I do but I'm sure it's because I'm in Mom's house and my sister isn't. But I still have to throw a dig at my Sis every once and awhile and tell her it's because I'm STILL Mom's favorite LOL. (we had that joke between us when mom was alive, and mom would always say"Oh you girls need to stop fighting over me, I love you both the same.") But revenge is sweet for all the mean stuff sis did to me because I was the baby of the family.
I believe some Spirits just stay around, guard, and look after those that they loved when they were alive, until it is our time to join them. Mom is doing nothing now that she didn't do in life, and that is want to be around, and protect the children that she loves. Mom always told us when she was alive that if there was any way after she dies to come back to watch over us kids she will do it. Apparently she figured it out LOL because she's been here since day one and is still making her presence known.
If you watch they may be giving you signs that they are there too. My mom likes to drop towels or washrags on the floor. LOL I have no idea why, but that's what she does. I can be in the bathroom or kitchen and the towel/washrag be sitting perfectly over the tub/sink or hanging over the cabinet door and there it will go right into the floor with not a soul close to it to knock it down. This happens sometimes several times a day. I just laugh and say Good Morning or Hi Mom, I Love You, pick up the item and continue on my way, until she does it or something else again. She will also knock over her picture, it landing face side up on the coffee table in the living room. She scared the crap out of my ex hubby who still lives here when he was watching TV one night in there LOL.
Well that's a little bit of what I experience sometimes daily. So keep your eyes open or ask them to do something to let you know they are there. Tell them what you want them to do ie) drop a towel, or bang on the wall etc., instead of saying give me a sign because then you know what to be looking for. Have A Nice Night, Enjoy their presence, and God Bless!

I miss my mom right now. I wish I had the contact with her like I did before, especially around the Holidays.
yes thats when it hits you, but good she is a presence in your life I wish I could have that presence, especially when one has a hard time and need someone ...
I keep feeling my mom all the time. Yes, she does act like a guardian angel of sorts. For a long time, when my kids were little, I would think to remember things the kids would say or did. I would then have to remember that Mom wasn't here for me to tell her.
Me too, and yes I do feel her around maybe its that a lot of my behavior and love of Nature takes after her, I find myself thinking 'Wow' thats what Mom would have done ...oh I bet that was a hard one for you , sky, losing a parent just before Christmas ,how great that you and your dad feel her presence..it must help a lot ....
i have myself lost a parent, my mom unfortunatelly .. dec 24 2005 the day befor christmas.. i was 13 then 17 now .. well any way i live wit my dad now, wich i lived with both until she passed ..they wher happyley married:( wich makes it hadder not jus on me but my dadto an we both feel her presents strongly now in our house it a great presents to:] they will always be wit u ...god bless friend of skys the limit
It is common to feel your parents spiritual energy after they pass away. Many times they become your gaurdian angel or spirit guide. I hope that this is a positive experience for you. I know it is hard loosing family and I hope that you and your hubby have a great day.
