Clear Sticky Penile Discharge Not Going Away After Antibiotics

Doctor I'll get straight to the point,

For the past month or so I have noticed a small amount of clear sticky discharge similar to pre-*** but perhaps more sticky from my penis. I only notice this during the morning. When I wake up in the morning (5.30am) to urinate it is not there but usually visible after milking the penis before I go for my second urination around 8-9am. On occasion it is there for the third but I haven't ever noticed it in the afternoon or evenings. I believe there is a connection to whether I masturbate or not the night before and this discharge as sometimes there is no discharge but this is a little random so I'm not sure.

I did have unprotected sex, one night stand style, around the start of August and the first time I noticed this discharge would have been coming on a month later.

The other complication is I have had a left varicocele for quite some time now, it was confirmed with a scrotal sonograph around the end of June. And it had been developing probably since the previous November. There has been some swelling on the left side and it was sometimes uncomfortable/painful if I got too hot and/or stayed in the same position for too long. But over the last few months it has become less irritating.

No other symptoms are occurring.

I have of course been to a urologist and he took a swab and urine sample both came back negative for infection/ Chlamydia but prescribed  Zocin - Azithromycin, 1 Gram single to be safe. This didn't have any particular effect so he prescribed a dose of Zithromax - Azithromycin, 1 Gram single Dose.

In the mean time I had a High ligation varicocele lectomy on the 11th Oct and in post op was prescribed Augmentin - Amoxycillin + Clavulanate Potassium, 1 Tab three times a day for 3 days.

But still the discharge remained; I asked for a Urine Culture to be performed and this also came back negative but I don't know what they exactly look for in that test.

So I am curious on what your opinion is on the situation?

Hello matey,

This is just seminal fluid.

You're paying way too much attention to your penis.

Ignore it, its normal.

The tests have shown that you're fine, the antibiotics haven't cleared it = normal.

best wishes, Sean

Too much attention to my penis, never ;)

Thanks Sean I let myself be a bit paranoid about these things given the nefarious nature of STD's and general Doctoring isn't something you should Google (too much).

One question though, could you hazard a guess as to why 'it' has decided to start producing extra seminal fluid, without the associate erection, now as oppose to never before?
