I am having a burning feeling under both my arm.

About 1 week ago I had limpsmode removed from both arms the right breast still has the lump in . where they remove the limpsmode the portion is blue and painful. I still can't use my right hand. when I ask the doctor for something for the swelling, he said it will go away. it is very painful and burning. All the doctors gave me was some Ponstan Forte 500 mg, and told me to move the arm up and down.

I had, and still have, (after not having this for a year, or so), also this burning under my right arm, and which is where I had my surgery.

Supposedly, burning is a sign of nerve damage or at least a neurological thing.
(I don't know if this is always true, though)

These days, I especially have this when there is the slightest bit of perspiration and what somewhat helps is when I use a powder that has a combination of cornstarch and zinc oxide in it.

If this continues, they also sometimes prescribe something like neurontin for pain.. I have never taken this but it was suggested, or 'kept in mind as a possibility'.

It also really helped me to have physical therapy and perhas this burning has come back because I have not gone in a few months, but have an appointment scheduled soon.

For whatever it's worth, these are my two cents.

hope this will improve soon, Katrin

Sorry... Thought I read Parafon forte... Ponstan forte is an anti-inflammatory drug for pain & swelling!

Best wishes!

I've known several women who've had lymph node removal and had pain afterwards. You are a week out from surgery so give yourself some time. Parafon Forte is an excellent pain medication but be careful not to take it if you're going to drive!

For the exercise, stand opposite a wall, put your fingertips on the wall and let them walk up the wall and then down, and then up the wall, and then down the wall. That does help. If you still have tremendous pain a few months out, seek help. Best wishes.
