Which old wives tales worked for about baby gender?

Just for fun which old wives tale did work on you with your previous pragnancy & what u think about this time u r having a boy or girl (like if u think that this one tale usauly work for me so what are your symptoms this time and which old wives tale is it. It is just for fun but some people do believe on these kind of stuff like my MIL she will tell you the way u carry the baby it is a boy or girl so please I would love to hear from all of you . The chinese gender chart says girl for me but the us said boy. It was right for my toher 4 though. I alwasy carry all in front and only gain weight there with a girl. It looks like a ball. Then with my boys adn that is if this os one too I have a ball infront but widen in my back and gain in my face. I ahve another us ont he 22nd so we will see if it is still a boy. I will have to try the ring. I do tarot cards and been wating to do that but keep forgetting to.

I was wondering....isn't it impossible to tell at this early stage whether you are carrying a boy or a girl from whether it is low or high?  I don't think the uterus has come up much fromt he pelvis yet.  I think that maybe at 20 weeks you could make a guess from the positioning but I thought it was too early at 11 weeks to tell.  Thanks for sharing:)

For those that are attempting to use the hearrate for determining the gender of their babies.  I was a slow heartrated baby & yet I turned out a full fledge honest to goodness woman.  However, for those of you using the positioning method, for those that carry low & more into their backs than in front of themselves you will most likely have a boy.  For those that are carrying high & in front of you, you are most likely having a girl.  This is from my own personal observations with my mother as she carried us & I saw pictures of my mom while she was pregnant with my older brother vs when she was pregnant with me & boy was there a big difference.  She was a lot smaller with him & she carried Him all in her back.  Now as with me she carried me all in fron of her like a giant watermelon or pumpkin.  Now as for the dates well of even months of birthdate of mother & odd month of conception, it's not the best way either since you can have an early arrival.

No worries however, which way you wish to attempt to figure your babies sex without looking at the ultrasound.  Congrats! And may you all have healthy, happy babies.

I never had any of my own come into this world but I was blessed with their names as I miscarried so I know exactly how many & what the genders of my children are & I will one day be reunited with them.

Yes, I did do the Chinese chart and when it is the accurate one where your age is calculated into lunar years, it predicts a girl.  I also paid for a gender prediction through **********.com, and they say boy:(  Also I just got another boy prediction from another webiste which is an astrological prediction.  I have also asked the psychic I have used in the past named cheri and she definitely sees a girl.  I don't know if all could be confused by the fact that I was carrying twins and lost one.  Who knows?  It will probably end up being a boy but most important is that the baby is healthy.

I am basing mine on how different this pregnancy is ... my first pregnancy with my daughter was good no morning sickness at all... this pregnancy im really sick get gas alot (lol) get headaches back aches and all alll ready and i am 9 weeks today so im keeping my fingers crossed it's a boy !!!!

My baby's heart rate two days ago at 8 weeks 6 days, only one day off from you, was 168 so I hope mine is a girl too, but because the wives tale did not predict the right gender with my last pregnancy I am skeptical.  We REALLY want a girl.

this old wives tale has always worked in my family.  Have mom lay on her back and suspend your ring from a string.  have husband hold ring just above your belly.  If the ring makes right circles it's a boy-left a girl.  It;s fun to do on the couch at a party or family get together.  It never failed for my family.  Have fun and congratulations!

a previous co-worker has a great record of predicting the gender.....she takes the mothers age and birth month.....and then the approx. date of conception.....somehow using these dates she predicts.....since I was 34 at conception and born in October (both even dates) and concieved Sept. (an odd date), she says we will have a girl......
however, my husband is sure it will be a boy, because he doesn't have any "girl" chromosomes in him.....says he is all man....lol....

That is just an old wives tale so it still could be a girl.  My baby's heart rate was 120 at 6 weeks 5 days.  Yesterday at 8 weeks it was 158.  So would you say it is a boy or girl?  It is always lower that early on.  I am hoping for a girl too.

had my u/s on monday seen babys heartrate and it was 117 (6 weeks preggo) and my husband looked at tech and said damn its a boy i can tell by hb and i really wanted a girl!! lol............
