Has your town offered the vaccine yet?

Ours is in beginning of Dec.

I started this group to get opinions of many members as we decided whether or not to get the vaccine, but we never had to make the choice since my family got the flu terribly bad -- 2 of my kids ended up on antibiotics, steroids, albuterol (they are asthmatics) and Tamiflu - it was fast moving and very aggressive virus.  We're all okay.

Hindsight for us is 20/20 -- I guess the weight of making a decision is over for us -- but remains for so so so many others.

It was offered to high risk groups in Halifax,Canada about 2months ago and now my family physician offers it as well. I still haven't decided whether I am going to have it or not. Still on the fence as I work from home so my human contact is very limited.. lol!!!
My husband had the shot cos he couldn't risk bringing the flu home.

Luckily where I live in Australia it's free! Doctors have signs up encouraging people to get it. I will get mine next week. I am immunosupressed so best I have it I think.
