breast milk but not pregnant

m not sure who to go to about this but i am 19 years old and i am not pregnant and i am 1000% sure that in not i have taken test and had blood work done and its all negative. i have got my period at 15 and for the past 2 years i have had a total of  5 periods and when i get it i have the worst pain ever as to were i am in bed and cant get up and it only lasts for about 3 to 5 days and its only spotting! for the past year my breast have been tender and i get a sharp pain in my right breast and it feels like Im getting stabbed in my right breast. Just recently about 2-3 weeks there has been a discharge from my right breast and it looks like milk and i don't know what it is and im very worried. has any one had this problem or does any one have any ideas or suggestions as to what it is or what i should do? i am also always so tires and my body aches please help and give me advice

I a 41 and have had milk since I was 19 I also was the same with periods are u on a contraceptive  as I'm on depo it stopped my periods  the second time I got on it but still have milk my doctor said to bind myself with bandage and didn't seem worried but I don't do it I've been told its probly hormones plus I have high estrogen

Oh my gosh, I can't believe your doctor recommended to bind you.  This is not milk production but rather a hormonal imbalance.  The right thing for your doctor to do is to resolve the hormonal imbalance.  Things that need to be checked are if you have a small non cancerous tumor in your pituitary gland, if you have dysfunctional thyroid and if your hormones are out of sync.  Yes, too much estrogen production causes this nipple discharge. The underlying reason needs to be addressed so that your system is functioning properly.  That's unfortunate that your doctor took a primitive approach like that.  I would find a new doctor!

Thank you I didn't bind myself as it didn't sound right to me either I just put up with it but my breast are tender all the time

Oh good, glad you didn't do that.  Are your periods late too by the way or just the nipple discharge?  I hope they take the time to find the underlying cause!

You need to see a doctor about this.

Irregular periods that are as painful as your describe along with nipple discharge indicates a medical problem that needs to be investigated -  a hormonal imbalance is a possibility.

Let you mom know so you can get the appropriate treatment.  If you dont want to discuss it with her, can you ask to get an annual physical or something like that?

I don't think its breast milk, is in both breasts? Can you seek medical advise? what did your mom say?
