So, how are you feeling?

I know that I am not posting on here as much as I should...but I do lurk and check on the site most days! :)

Just thought that I would check in and see how everyone is feeling...some of us are getting down to the final weeks and if you are feeling like I am, I don't want the pregnancy to be over but I can't wait to meet my little boy or girl either.

My update...
Tomorrow, I will be 35 weeks and the baby is still moving around quite a bit, but without as much force behind the movements.  I've started to have some contractions, but nothing consistent enough to be concerned about. (Although, I do have this strange feeling that the L'il Monkey is going to come early, isn't that funny?). Today, I organized and prepared my IPOD.  I'm not sure how to do my two hospital bags (they recommend one for L&D a second one for after childbirth in the Mom and Baby room) since I use, on a daily basis, most of the stuff that they recommend packing.

The baby had been breech the entire pregnancy and at my 34 week appt., he/she turned.  Now, it's just a question of will he/she stay turned? I can't tell, but plan on asking at this week's appt.  After Thursday's appt., I will go to once-a-week appts, which is kinda exciting!

We are using a doula and an OB, so we are going to be able to stay home, even though this is my first child, until I am at about 5-6 cm dilated, since the doula can check for me.  This eases my mind GREATLY about not having my entire birth experience at the hospital. We are also trying to avoid induction or medical intervention unless urgently required.

Time for TMI....giggle....

My discharge has increased considerably, but nothing thick enough to think it's my plug or anything. My poos have started to loosen, I am very tired but yet antsy to get stuff done, my urine smells funny (which I really have NO idea as to why since I drink a TON), my appetite is diminishing, my bbs are starting to hurt again (more like electrical pulses shooting through them randomly then the dull achiness of the first trimester), I am so emotional that I am wearing myself out (can't imagine what it's like for those around me), but I am a full-time, tear-producing, water-works MACHINE!! I swear, I cry at EVERYTHING.  And not just tears...huge gasping sobs!!  Ugh!!

So, with that update...

I do wish everyone a very safe, healthy and happy New Year!  It's been a special year for all of us and the start of 2010 is going to be an exciting one ;)

God Bless!!

I am 34 weeks tomorrow. I just went to the doctor yesterday, and got a u/s. They say he is approx. 5 lbs 3 oz, I am 1/2 cm dialated and my cervix is softened but not effaced. The doctor said that he has started to drop, but not all the way, which is what i was wondering since I feel a little more pressure on my hips, and pelvis, and can breathe a little better latley. She thinks I won't make it to my due date, but she doesn't think he'll come too early either. I will start to go in every week now so she can check on me. I also have to get weekly NST's because of a fibroid and 2 vessel cord.

I have been having BH contractions for the last 3-4 weeks every day all day long, anywhere from 3-9 an hour, they seem to have been getting stronger the last couple of days, sometimes I think I am going to pee my pants from them! I have a hard time sleeping as I have to get up 3-5 times a night to go pee, and I've had a sore throat for over a week now that wakes me up at least 15 times a night to take a drink of water. ugh! I can't wait till that one goes away, it's hard enough just getting comfortable. Let alone having to deal with my throat closing shut several times a night.
As far as not looking pregnant. I don't have a problem in that department, people have noticed for 2-3 months now that I'm pregnant, they still say that I'm "small" but I don't know what they comparison is to ( a whale maybe) I feel HUGE! no strecth marks though. Thank god. I've definatley got the waddle down, and forget about tying the shoes, that is just too much! Talk about uncomfortable, I am SOOO ready!

He moves around a lot especially at night and in the morning, and has been getting hiccups a few times a day latley.
I am not really afraid of labor funny enough,  I am more afraid of the change in our lives, work ect. I figure I will deal with the pain when it comes, and am more excited than anything. I can't belive it is getting so close! My doctor said she would not stop labor after 35 weeks because of the risks from stopping it outweigh the risk of having him early. But hopefully he will stay put for a few more weeks.

It is good to hear how all of you are doing. Keep up the posts, this board is dying! I would love to hear about how more of you are doing.

Hang in there ladies. The time is almost HERE!!

Daniplusone2009, well not to freak you out BUT for me labor pain was much worse than I anticipated.  I would black out from the pain during some strong contractions.. However I also was induced with pitocin and that often causes more painful labor pains. I did not have time for pain meds as I dialated too quickly.. However this time I have insisted on an epidural the moment I enter the hospital. LOL

As for my update. I am tired, tired, tired. Have I mentioned that I am tired? LOL I am so sore in the back and pelvis and the boy is -3 station and slowly making his way into position. I am 35w1d and 2cm and 30% effaced and have been in pre-term labor with strong contractions since 31 weeks. Luckliy my boy has stayed put. Due to a heart issue I have been taken off of all meds to stop labor.
I go in 2x a week for NST's which are a pain in the butt.
Today was seen and NST shows still contracting and BP is high.  I go back on Thurs for another appt and doc has mentioned induction soon.  So we shall see. I would love to make it past 36 weeks for an induction tho..

Gavin is very active and it cracks me up how he has hiccups nightly. :)

We are all so close. Everyone keep in touch!

Its so nice to hear that everyone is doing well.  I am currently in my 34th week and often times it feels like i should have delivered weeks ago.  This is my first pregnancy, and things are going well.  Its moreless, me being scared of every tiny thing that occurs because I do not know what to expect or what is considered normal.  I will say that I have broken the record for fainting.  I have fainted twice and have come close to fainting about three times.  My due date has been feb. 12,13&14th from different u/s places.  The place that I have stuck with which is the center for advanced fetal care gave me the date of the 13th so I tend to stick with that.

My baby is very active.  always on the go it seems.  and he loves to move when I move.  I once read that when i am busy doing things such as walking, that the motion rocks your baby to sleep and when you sleep the baby wakes up.  Not this little one.  He has a mind of his own.  He likes to tap dance on my bladder, and crump dance on my insides until i lay down for the night.  then he gently nudges me.  lol.

As far as the baby room is concerned.  I am not doing the traditional baby room right away.  I have made my bedroom baby friendly and made the room the baby will sleep in once he is a bit older, more of a storage place for all of his things.  I change my mind so frequently that I did not want to do alot of work and then change it around.

Oh and I almost forgot to add, I am not sure if anyone has read any of my previous  rants about me not looking pregnant.  Well Not anymore, actually on Thanksgiving day is when everyone noticed that I was pregnant.  Even strangers also.  I just looked fat before as LittlePickle stated.  It was so frustrating.  but now, I am happy.  The only thing is that I am having difficulty doing simple tasks like before.  Boy oh boy, tying up my boots/shoes.  Its so crazy.  lol  :-)

I just want to add one more thing.  My fear of giving birth has gotten really out of control.  Just last night, i was talking in my sleep, something that my dh has said that  I have never done before. But anywho, he said that i was talking to him about baby #2, telling him to take it easy because I have not even had this baby yet.  It is so weird.  I used to look at TLC and Discovery channels baby shows with hope and happiness, now its with more fear.  I cant imagine the pain. For all of those second and beyond time mothers, how did your actual labor compare to your labor fear/anxieties.

OK, I could go on and on for sure but i am going to end this now.  I wish every safe deliveries and a happy new Year.

Well I finally have a belly and look pregnant....it only took until the eighth month.  :)  I still look pretty small but at least people recognize i'm pregnant and not weirdly fat.

Other than that I really don't feel too pregnant on most day, aside from the alien movements inside.  I am not getting much sleep which is annoying, but has been easier to deal with while on holiday vacation.  Once i go back to work on Monday it wills tart getting ugly again if I only average 4-5 hours on noncontinuous sleep.  I am carrying VERY low so I haven't had much breathing problems....instead I get a to of jabs in the vagina that makes it feel like I am getting stabbed.  It hurts pretty bad but only lasts a few seconds so I can deal.

It's been a while since my last dr. visit because of the holiday and I had to be rescheduled because he was in delivery.  If all goes well I will see him Tuesday at 33 weeks 3 days.

I'm still working out but the frequency has dropped some....not because of physical reasons, more mental.  My motivation i s lacking and since prepreggos I was running 8-minute miles, 15-minute mile walks are too slow and boring for me.  I still make it out 4-5 times a week,....more like 4 lately.  ;)

I have my shower on Jan. 10 so I am looking forward to that.  We pretty much have things ready for the baby if it came early but we could always use a few more things but we aren't that eager to get it all because we are team green and some gender specific stuff would be nice so we will just wait.

Looking forward to February so I can finally find out the sex....not knowing hasn't bothered me until recently.  I WANT TO KNOW!!!!

I don't update as much as I should either....Sorry!

Let's see...I'm off work now which is great - I'm and LMT and it's very physical and hard for me to do with my ever growing belly lol. My pelvis still hurts but almost all the time now. I still see my chiropractor weekly for it, but the results just don't last as long now. I'm getting tired again - I feel exhausted even after sleeping 8hrs (of course, not solid lol!).
We are almost finished with the upstairs...Have to wait to get the rest of the moulding up then we can put the bed that's in the nursery in the spare room upstairs. Then I'll be able to get the nursery ready. I haven't washed clothes or anything yet! I feel so far behind but there's not much I can do about that until the bed goes and the crib is up!
I don't think I'll make it to my due date...I'm due on Feb.18th. I was due Dec.18th with DS and I had him on Dec.2nd. For some reason January 28th keeps sticking in my mind and I'll be exactly 37wks that day. So maybe lol....
It's nice to hear from you gals :-) Keep updating as you can!

So glad to hear an update from someone!!

I have been home for over a month now, pulled from work on bedrest because of Pregnancy Induced Hyptertension, which I had with my previous pregnancy as well.

I have been getting very bad sciatic nerve pain...so bad I cant get up sometimes...its hurts that bad. I feel like I have not been getting enough sleep and its just annoying.

I have been on weekly doctor appts and ultrasounds weekly for almost a month now since I got pulled from work, checking my AFI levels and blood pressure. For the past couple of days, I feel like i have been in a fog, like anything I eat makes me feel funny....and I just feel nauseated but not to the point where I will get sick.

My scheduled cesarean is February 16th and I am hoping to make it to that day exactly because I want the same doctor to do it that did my last and she is on vacation from the 3rd to the 12th of February. So< i cant go before than..by personal preference at least.

Cant believe I have less than 7 weeks left...its crazyness.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

Updated when you can ladies.
