Peanuts/PB causes heartburn

Does anyone experience severe heartburn or indigestion after consuming peanut butter or peanuts. Mostly full sized nuts in trail mix or peanut butter bars causes indigestion that's just horrible.

I used to eat PB everyday during my childhood years into my adult life - but after my Gallbladder being removed 1 year ago next month - i can't eat PB or nuts to save my life.

It kills me for hours afterwards - and it happens almost immediately after I eat it. I just figured out it was peanuts that causes the most issues after consumption.

Anyone have the same issues?? :) Thanks!!!!

Yep, me. I actually got online to try and find out why it has started this and found your question. My gallbladder has been out for 40 years and the indigestion just started a couple years ago. I love peanut butter :-(

It's odd, isn't it?  Because peanuts and legumes are on the list of foods TO eat when you have your gallbladder out. https://www.healthline.com/health/gallbladder-removal-diet#foods-to-eat  I have read that peanut butter causes gas and that is part of the pain and discomfort.  ??  Not sure though.  I found a low sugar, natural peanut butter that works for me okay.

I ate trail mix earlier today and have been paranoid I was getting a stomach bug because the indigestion and reflux is so bad. But now, hours later, still not nauseous or vomiting, just the acidity. I also don’t have a gallbladder and will now be avoiding trail mix.
