Anyone get a "sick" feeling in throat?

Has anyone ever noticed a general "sick" feeling in your throat/chest?  I know this sounds odd, but every once in a while I get this, and it lasts a few days or weeks and it drives me crazy.  I can't even explain it other then it's just a yucky sick feeling I get ..???

Hi!  I know exactly what you are talking about.  I had a swallow test, and it came back fine also.  It's not all the time, but I do have issues sometimes with choking on things easily.  It seems to come and go, like a lot of the weirdness with this disease.  I wish I knew what triggered it, etc!!

Hi Lori, I have the same problem. Lately, I have had problems eating too. I choke very easily. My doctor always has me drink a little water to check how I swallow. She seems to think I'm fine. Water goes down easier than food though. I'm to the point I'm afraid to eat at times.

Yeah, I guess.  It's so hard to explain, but it is an awful feeling almost as if sickness radiates from my throat ..strange!  I haven't been able to pinpoint anything in particular that makes it flare either.  I wish I could!  I am also D deficient.  I haven't been tested for adrenal fatigue that I know of.  I have antibodies for both Graves and Hashi's.  My iron is fine for now.  Just had that checked because I've been having issues where my heart races when I stand up, but it came back OK.  Who knows.  It seems like it's always something with this disease.  And I just love how the doctors say that if your levels are fine, there should be no symptoms.  Hmmmmm....
Thanks for the post!!

Yes I get a sick feeling in my throat every now and then sometimes it lasts for a day or a couple of days. Do you mean your throat feels like it would if you were sick? That is how I feel. I will also have trouble brushing my teeth because the toothpaste will make me gag. I don't remember if my endo said that it was probably when my thyroid is enlarged/swollen that I would feel these symptoms.

I haven't been able to really track it yet because of playing with my cytomel dosage, extra stresses, my body healing itself from a recent injury, there are too many variables at this moment to notice what in particular aggrevates the symptoms.

I am anemic, vitamin D deficient, have adrenal fatigue and hashimoto's hypothyroidism. I just try to take it easy and treat myself as if I did have a cold or flu. It helps, I will sometimes take the supplement emergen-c, if I have it around. Take care.
