Pregnant and on Suboxone

I thought I posted this yesterday but I couldn't find it so I apologize if it's up twice.  I am 27yrs old and have a daugther who is about to be one and just found out I am pregnant again.  For the first pregnance I was on Subutex as the doctor I was seeing then said that was better than being on Suboxone.  Once I gave birth he put me on Suboxone and I have been on that now for almost a year.  I have switched doctors during this process and really like my new doctor but he is privately insured and can't prescribe the Subutex to me.  I have looked and called everywhere with no luck.  I have read things about women taking Suboxone while being pregnant and their babies are perfectly healthy, but on the other hand I have heard that the babies go through withdrawals at times too.  I have also read that if I"m just cut off of the Suboxone cold turkey without being tappered off of it that it could cause a miscarraige.  I'm really stressed out about this situation, I am in the process of tappering off the medication now anyway and just need someone to help me do so and let me know what the right thing is to take.  If anyone has experience with this kind of issue could you just give me some feedback into waht you would suggest I do?  I would really appreciate any help at this point . . . . Thanks!

I'm a male with chronic pain issues related to my pancreas. I do get acute episodes, as well. I am a recovering ok couloir and my psychiatrist recently switched me to straight buprenorohine with no naloxone. Is this subutex?

How far along are you? Be very careful tapering down. If you stop the medication the baby could go in withdrawal in the womb and you could go into pre-term labor. I was told this by the pediatrician in NICU. My baby is in NICU now for withdrawal of Subutex I took during my pregnancy. They give him morphine and are taking very good care of him. Honestly I'm not sure if you are very early in your pregnancy if you could stop the medication but since you've been on it so long it would probably be hard and too stressful for you to go off of it while your pregnant.

Keep calling doctors until you find one that's willing to prescribe you Subutex. Here's a site you can use:
http://www.buprenorphine-doctors.com/find-a-doctor.cfm

Call every doctor you find and ask the receptionist to ask the doctor if they are willing to prescribe subutex (Buprenorphine) for you during your pregnancy because you're on suboxone (Buprenorphine and Naloxone) which isn't as safe as the Subutex because of the Naloxone but it's also not safe for you to stop this medication during your pregnancy. I called many doctors until I found one and she happens to be an obgyn that now works in a rehab office.
