Not sure what you mean by a negative line (are you referring to the test line? In which case this is only a reference line depending on which HPT you are using.) And usually anything on the positive side, is a detection of hCG (pregnancy hormone) sometimes however faintly it shows, it may mean you are pregnant. I just finished telling someone, in my first pregnancy with my son, after I was 4 days past my expected period, I tested on a whim, and it was so faint I didn't even know that it was still a positive test. Bleeding for a short amount of time, (if this isn't usual for you) can be what they call implantation bleeding. This bleeding can occur anywhere from 3-12 days past ovulation and conception. The bleeding can be pink, red, brownish or even mucousy or a combination of any or all. If you doubt your test, wait another couple of days and then retest again, and use first morning urine (which does tend to be most concentrated). If even then you are in dispute about it, ask your doctor for a beta hCG blood test for pregnancy, which will detect the most minute traces of hCG in your blood. That will tell you pretty well indefinitely if you are pregnant so long as it isn't only 3 days past ovulation/conception. (I did this when I had my annual physical thinking to ask my doctor to throw a pregnancy test into my blood requisition, and it came back negative. Turned out that I was actually physically 3 days pregnant at the time, but it was just too early to detect the more than 20 mIU/mL of hCG that doctors use as a baseline to say you are pregnant.)
I hope that whatever your situation, it turns out the way you are hoping.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly. Please do message me and let me know what the results are for you! I am curious!
