is pink and brown discharge normal?

Im 6w 4d and for the past two days I've had a pinkish then more of a brownish color discharge when I wipe. I am not cramping and its not red like period blood. I had a little pink discharge a little over a week ago but it went away after a day so I didnt worry much. Now its brown and there is more. Should I be worried? Has Anyone experienced this?

My doctor told me that's normal as long as your not having blood clots and enough to fill a pad a lot of mommies have spotting

Hi all. Im 8 weeks and 6 days. Tomorrow ill be 9 weeks. Im currently experiencing pink and brown discharges. And really scared too. My very first pregnancy was an ectopic back in 2007. I lost one tube because of it, so my chances of Conceiving are 50/50. Im in a new relationship since my ectpoic and have had 3 miscarriages over the past 8 months..... Its been a very tough and emotional rollercoaster! This time however..... Is the longest ive caried! And ive experienced the morning sickness for the first time! To me thats all good signs but..... Still worried because of the light bleeding????  All of the encouragement and positive feedback however has been uplifting. Hope all goes well for all and my regards go out to you krey.

I dont even want to tell you bc I dont want you to worry but thats how mine started. It started a week ago though and I didnt miscarry until fri. How far along are you? How long have you been bleeding? The only difference with mine is that it was very clotty.. then the cramping started and I passed everything withing two hours. I have heard so many stories where women bleed in their first trimester, even red blood and some clots and everything was fine. What did the ER say?  If you arent bleeing alot I would say your okay just monitor how heavy and clotty it is. Also, the cramping is like your worst period cramps times 100, so if its not bad cramping like that I think you will be okay. Just monitor yourself and pay close attention. Call the doctor and see if you can get your hcg levels to see if they are rising. I pray that they are! I would never want someone to have to experience what I did. I hope your little one is super healthy and growing strong. :)

Jilian- Thank you for your support. I love my little medhelp family! The pain both emotional and physical is devastating thats for sure. I am scared to death to get pregnant again bc Im so afraid of that happening again.

I am so, so sorry.  I completely understand how you feel.  The physical pain of a miscarriage is horrible, and the emotional is even worse.  I hope you get to feeling better soon, and will pray you are able to concieve again as soon as you are ready.

I am so sorry you had to go through that, Know female should ever have to experience something so painful. Your not alone I too think I am experiencing the same but quite not sure. Yesterday the 7th i had to urinate so badly that when I cleaned myself I had a pinkvery light discharge. Then went away the next morning like at 6am had to urinate again, went to the bathroom wiped and i see brown blood but very little and I look in the toilet and a drip of brown blood. After that i had a bad headache, tender breast, and bad backache. Felt very sick. Wnt back to bed and woke up at 12pm feeling the same and i see red dark blood. But I don't know I still feel like crap. I just hate the E.R. they take so long. What do you think might be going on?

I passed the baby yesteray :( And how it happened was extremely traumatic. I was alone and passed three things including the yolk sac and gestational sac which came out completely intact one after the other.. I hope no one ever has to go through something like that it was the worst things Ive ever experienced.

your going through so much, i am praying for you that everything sticks and your numbers jump way way up. its awful how some doctors misdiagnose us...u just never know!

A little update.. Im going to post this in my other question too but here it is.. from the begining... abour 5 days ago I started to have some brown discharge so they moved my first sonogram up and I had it this wed. The doc only saw a gestational sac no yolk sac or baby. The next morning I passed a tissuey looking clot so I went to the hospital. The er doc said I "probably" already miscarried and that I was dilated but she sent me for a sonogram at the er to make sure.. they saw a gestational sac and this time they saw a yolk sac!! so nothing was making sense.. the sac measured 6 weeks 1 day and my hcg levesl are 7487.. which is around 4 weeks pregnant. so then the er doc told me that I still am pregnant and I have a threatened abortion which means first trimester bleeding and 40% end in miscarriage and 60% go on to have a normal pregnancy.  This morning it got worse and Ive been clotting like crazy .. but I followed up with my doc this morning and Im not dilated anymore.. and Im still pregnant!! the er doc was so quick to diagnoise a miscarriage!! UGH.. but there is still a pregnancy here as of right now :) She found a gestational sac and yolk sac as well which she had not seen the day before I went to the er. They took my blood work and I have to call around 3:30 to get it.. she said it should be in the 10000. Ive been praying all day! Its been such an emotional rollercoaster.. i know its alot but I need some positive vibes here..

I went in yesterday for my ultrasound.  The nurse told me she had the brownish discharge during each of her three (full term) pregnancies and that it is "old blood" and that is ok.  They also gave me a shot of progesterone (my rear end still hurts! lol) to be safe and I go back for a repeat scan in two weeks (mostly bc they found a possible cystic area, the baby and hb were seen on this US and were fine).  

I also had my lmp on March 18th, but like everyone here says, ovulation can occur late so just try to get plenty of rest and relax (I know, easier said than done, right?) until they scan again.  We will be hoping for the best for you!

Ultrasound isn't that great of a tool so early.  When conditions are less than perfect they may not see the baby until closer to the end of the first trimester!  Just think... they're trying to locate something that is measured in millimeters!

Well, I had my period on March 7th. But, I didn't ovulate until March 28th. I know this b/c I was charting my bbt and on clomid. I tested positive on April 7th or so...so that would've had me believe I was 4 weeks, but if I hadn't been charting I would have been alarmed. It is possible that you are not far enough along yet. My first ultrasound all I saw was a gestational sac and yolk sac and I was measuring 4 weeks. The next one about three days later, I was measuring 5 weeks and we thought we saw the heartbeat. The next week I went back because I passed a blood clot and we saw the baby, the yolk sac, and gestational sac and heard the heartbeat and I was measuring 6 weeks 1 day. Don't count yourself out yet, I'll be praying for you.

Ive called the doctor.. they had me come in early for a sonogram.. I had my first one today. They saw a gestational sac with no baby yet. Im suppossed to be 6w5d.. the doc said she thinks I might not be that far along but I know I am. My last period was march 18th and I tested positive on a hpt as early as april 14th.. So I know Im 6w5d. Im so worrired.. I have already prepared myself for the worst.. :(

I've had spotting since right at 4 weeks. I'm 7w1d now and the spotting has stopped for the moment. Every time it starts back up they work me in for an ultrasound and everything looks fine. I've even passed two clots. I would def call your Dr because it'll put your mind at rest.

I would call.  Have you had sex recently?  That's what caused me to spot this time.  With my son though I had an infection that caused me to bleed, it started out as spotting and got worse.  They caught it in time though.  So, it doesn't hurt to call.
