please help

Hey I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, this is my second pregnancy and I was wondering if my water broke with my first baby do I have a greater chance of it breaking this time too?  And does having group b strep increase the chance of my water breaking? I don't remember any labor symptoms right before my water broke with my first pregnancy, so I was wondering if anyone else has had any signs or symptoms right before their water broke. Please tell me about what anyone thinks will happen or has experienced.

I am Group B Strep positive as well. I asked my Dr the same question, and the answer is no, having it will not increase your chances of your water breaking. But if your water does break, they do want you to go into labour and delivery right away so they can start you on an antibiotic. As soon as the membrane ruptures there's more of a chance of infection to the baby. I don't think that your water breaking last time will have anything to do with this pregnancy. Good luck! :o)

Because every pregnancy is different, there is no guarantee that just because it did with the first one it will with the second. Having Strep B just means that when you do actually go into labor they will have to hook you up to antibiotics to prevent it from passing to the baby.

I don't think that your water breaking will relate to your last pregnancy.  I think each pregnancy is different and it just depends on your body.  Also Group B Strep does not increase your chances of your water breaking.  It is a normal thing for your body but just not for the baby when it comes out so your body will not react to it.  You will just need antibiotics at delivery.  Good luck and I hope your delivery goes well.
