dialated

I'm 36 1/2 weeks and at my last appointment I was 2 cm dialated and 80% effaced. She also said the head was right there and really low. Could labor be right around the corner. I'm a lil nervous right now because my husband is out of town for a couple more days. I have another appointment on Tuesday. I wonder if I have progressed? I've kind of put my self on bedrest untilo my hubby gets back.

I am the same as you (atleast I was last week) I have an appt tomorrow to check again.  Baby has been at 0 station since mothers day and I still havent gone into labor yet.  Good luck.

First of all congratulations!!!!!!!!  It could mean that you are close to delivery.  Of course this would happen when your husband is away!!!!  Baby's have such a mind of their own.  Keeping relaxed is a very good idea.  I hope that baby waits until your husband gets home.  Good luck.

80 percent effaced sounds good.  My niece was 2 cm dilated for about three months, so that is not by itself an indication that labor is around the corner.
