i have just had a scan and according to hospitals calculations i am 5 weeks pregnant but according to the pregnancy test i am now 3 weeks pregnant which do i follow and at my scan there is no yolk sac what does this mean please
thanks guys i am around8 and half weeks.... waiting for next week ...getting a final ultrasound done to rule out any chances of the baby being there as yolk sac is seen but no fetal pole yet( last scan done monday) but i am keeping my fingers crossed and am waiting for a miracle to happen.....
I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum btw.... But it is possible that ones have just been to early... I seen this site called misdiagnoisedblightedovum.com that have some really great success stories but it was not the case for me
It is possible... I was 9 weeks when I misscarried and a yoke sac was visible.... I started bleeding at 9 weeks and went in for a d&c cause the pain was unbearable...
Well I actually had a blighted ovum injanuary and when I found out thee was not a yolk sac. I miscarried a week later. I am now pregnant again about five weeks had ultrasound monday and they saw a sac which is normal for how far along I am good luck
Usually not, but I think it is a possibility. When I had a scan at 6 weeks they only saw a yolk sac and was told probably just early but would not rule out blighted ovum till we gaot a heartbeat. I do think the shape and look of the yolk sac can be an indicator also.
My friend had a abortion she still didn't get her period and she got sick so she went to the doctors and got a ultrasound done! There was a sac but no fetal pole so they thought they missed something when she got the abortion but when she got home she took a pregnacy test and it cAme up positive 2 weeks later she got another ultrasound and showed a baby and a heartbeat she feel pregnant straight after! Now she is 34wks pregnant with a girl! So hope this helps have you tried a pregnacy test lately? This could be the same kind of case please keep me updated good luck! :-)
From my understanding, with a blighted ovum you generally don't find a yolk sac. You just see an empty sac. (If I'm wrong though I hope someone will correct me) How far along do you think you are?
