Liam is late!

Ugh! I'm so sick of being pregnant. Liam was due yesterday and there is no sign of him. I had my membranes stripped on wednsday and I spotted a little but nothing more. I was 10 days late with my 2nd baby and I think it was one of the most frustrating 10 days periods of my life. I've been cleaning and walking and having lots of sex and nothing is helping. I'm trying to occupy myself with reading and movies and sleeping but I've about run out of patience. I'm still getting braxton hicks but no real contractions. Anybody else overdue?

Hang in there ladies... I know how uncomfortable you must be =(
Try to walk around and keep busy to keep your mind off of it (I know horrible thought, but it works I walked 3 hours at the hospital next day my water broke), gravity is your friend with trying to get the babies out.  Not too much longer....

Brittny- even if your water broke at the fair you would probably have time to get to the hospital =)  I hear it's rare for labor and dialation to happen immediatley after your water breaks you would probably have a couple hours.  Even after all my preterm labor episodes and my water breaking I still had to have pitocin to jump start things... you never know!

Ah I would be iritated if I went over due. However most first pregnancies do go over. I'm hoping I don't but kinda figure I will. I'm almost 39 weeks and there is no dilation only about 40% effaced so far.  

I would be mad to if I was told I couldn't drive. My stomach isn't even near the stearing wheel.

My Bf said I couldn't go to the fair this week because I'm to close to my due date. I told him I didn't care I'm going to go see the beach boys! If my water breaks they have medics there. I'm sure I will be just fine. Were not breakable our last weeks of pregnancy. We need to still live our lives.

They told me that I could hit my belly on the steering wheel. That might be true, but my belly's been big enough for that for at least 2 months. It didn't happen as soon as I went over my due date. My MIL pissed me off yesterday so I told my hubby that I am absolutely driving myself to the midwife on wed. and he can be the one to inform them of that. I've decided I better be a hermit until Liam gets here or I won't have any family or friends left. LOL.

Oh no...why dont they want you to drive? Just because you are so close? I dont blame ya, I would let him take my keys, but, then I would just hide the spare lol I am glad that they were able to come down "just in case" to help you out.. I really hope you go soon

Yes, my MIL's sister and her family is here. That's a huge relief. I am really starting to get irritated. I've never been a patient person so it's quite torturous. Now my husband and his parents are trying to tell me that I shouldn't drive, they will take me to all my appts. I informed my hubby that he will have to take my keys away to keep me from driving, and he'll deeply regret it. Thanks for the babydust!

oh no, I am so sorry that you are past due... I know you must be irratated that they wont induce until you are two weeks late...Thats just mean to do that to a pregnant woman...I was 2 weeks or so early with my first, right on time with my second, and with the third(the one I just had) I would have been late my dr said, that is why he went ahead and induced me almost a week early... I will be sending you some labor dust...maybe it will help ya!! Did your MILs sister come in town this weekend to help you out?

My midwives won't induce until I'm 2 weeks past due unless something is wrong. I could go as late as Sept. 3rd.

I'm sorry he has'nt come yet! I'v never gone over my due date, but my first 2 babies were early ( the first one was 12 weeks early and the 2nd was 4 weeks early) so when i made it to 39 weeks with my third one it felt like I had been pregnant forever since none of them had made it that far and i had been dialated to 3cm for a month before he came. is there any chance that your midwives will induce you now that you are past your due date? Good luck and hope he comes soon!

Oh Karen - HUGS! I so know what you mean about not wanting to be pregnant anymore especially now that you are overdue. Can you ask your Ob to induce you? I was begging my Ob to c-section me at week 37 but he said he would want to wait till week 38. Even waiting one day was torturous let alone another week!
