RD risk and cataract surgery

For very myopic patients,  does the RD risk increase only immediately and shortly after cataract surgery ? Or does the increased risk remain higher than general population and myopic people without cataract surgery for the rest of lifetime ?

Thank you for attending to this question.

If staying alert for signs of RD and receive medical attention soon after

RD,  can there still be permanent damage and vision loss ??
