Monday updates Nov. 15

Okay, I am currently glaring at my calender thinking.... "Seriously???  Thanksgiving is happening NEXT week already?"  OMG ladies.  We are traveling to Jacksonville, FL with her... which means 2 flights to get there and one 3 hour layover in Dallas.  Oh, and no... my husband didn't buy a 3rd seat if you were wondering.  So, she will be sitting on our laps.  Lovely move hubby.  Needless to say, I am not looking foward to getting there or flying back home.

Leighton... hmmm... nothing really new.  She is putting more and more sentences together... although some of the words blur together with the next one so you have to listen carefully ;)  By far her favorite activity is coloring.  The kid could probably color all day if I let her, but that would be just wrong, so I don't!  Second favorite activity, playing in her sandbox.  Although, yesterday I was outside trimming some things and I look over to see her dumping pails of sand onto our Boston's Terriers back while he is still sleeping in the sun!  Poor doggy.  A bath later and a little chit chat with Leighton and both were restored to new!

AFM:  Here I am on CD 41... no period, and I am not pregnant.  I made appts. with my primary care and OB last week.  My primary care said my thyroid meds are slightly high but she sent me to my OB anyway where the OB said that she wanted me to go see my endochronologist.  I don't even see him until December, so I am hoping my meds and my TSH levels get back to normal ASAP.  I was reminded by both doctors that my specific type of tyroid condition can cause infertility, so I am bracing myself in preperation that is what is happening.  If I am blessed with only one angel, then so be it, but I am really hoping that isn't the case.  Otherwise, my OB wants us to go back and see our fertility specialist again.  Why isn't getting pregnant easy?  Well, I guess it is for some... but I want to be in that group!  :(

Not much happening here either. Phin is as cute as ever and seems to just be growing up right in front of us...without my permission!

We got him a Step 2 play kitchen for christmas and it is killing us to not just build it and let him have at it. He will love it, so we are excited.

AFM-38w2d along and feeling ready to go at any time. I hope to go early just so I can have a chance at being comfortable again in the near future!

We don't have really any news this week.

His new thing is to tell me that I am mean. Sometimes when I take things away from him (like a toothbrush and paste) he will smack at me and say, "Mommy mean." It is so funny.

Mark is still refusing to eat most foods. I can count on one hand the different foods he will eat.

We already had Thanksgiving on Sunday as we leave on Friday for Disneyland. I am fighting the urge to set up our tree :)

Micah has really bad excema. We use prescription creams and vaseline religiously and that seems to help.

OVAZ- I am sending you lots of positive thoughts and hope your doctors visits go well.

Jules & Ovaz - Brock has bad excema too...since he was born!  We have prescription hydrocortisone, but we don't really use it anymore.  We noticed that he has lightened spots on his skin from it.  We read that that can happen if it is used too many days in a row, which we were always careful of and stopped.  We use the Aveeno Baby in a tube.  The ped. said not to use anything in a pump because there is alcohol in it to get it to go through the pump.  So, we stopped using that Aveeno.  We also use lots of Apuaphor.  We have a tub of it on his changing table.

JULES:  Lei does get excema sometimes.  She has had it literally since birth, though.  Allergies run in my family with skin conditions (which are usually caused by allergies) to go along with it.  Aveeno brand lotion is really good or I use a prescription cream (I have it on the palms of my hand 24/7/365... insanely itchy!).  Since it doesn't bother Leighton when she does get a little patch or two, I haven't brought the prescription idea up to the doctor.  But, if it bother Mady see what your pediatrician says about a cream.

YIKES Turkey day next week, then Xmas before you know it........  Any good present ideas for the little ones???  I was thinking a kitchen and I got a baby laptop, Mady loves to play on the laptop.  But am at a loss for anything else.

Mady is talking a lot, sometimes it is mummbles but she tries hard to get things out.  I keep telling her to use words and not the grunts we dometimes get when she wants something.

No problems on the food front she will eat anything we put in front of her, except bananas.  She does although have some exema problems on her back and legs.  Anyone else have this problem?

AFM- 21 weeks, feeling HUGE, this boy is actually big the ultrasound dated me 2 weeks early.  Th dc said he would still go by the other date, but we may go earlier or take him earlier.  I feel like March is around the corner though.  I havent done anything yet.  My Brother had 2 boys around the same time frame so we dont need to buy a ton of stuff which is nice since we dont have a shower this time around.....

Nothing too new these days with Jack. He is saying more and more words which is great! He is also becoming a complete PITA (pain in the A@$). Everything is "mine" and when he is able to grab it he runs away laughing while we chase him. It is kinda cute but tiring. He is also become a really picky eater in the past few weeks. Things he use to like he doesn't even touch. All he seems to want are crackers...augh! So I am trying to find new and creative ways to get him to eat good.

AFM: So far so good with the pregnancy. I am just over 11 weeks. We go in Thursday for the first tirmester screening. Looking forward to making sure this little bean is pregressing. Once we get thru this exam we will start telling more people.

Ovaz- I here ya on the "it's Thanksgiving next week?" I can't belive Novemeber is almost over. We are in a heat wave right now. I had to dig out Jack's shorts because it is supposed to be almost 80 tomorrow. Good luck on your travels to FL. Let us know how it goes. We are scared to get on a plane with Jack. He doesn't even sit in our laps at home I couldn't imagine even a hour flight with that kid. ;)
