Why are my breasts getting smaller when I haven't lost any weight?

I'm 20 years old and my breast size has been decreasing rapidly. I used to be a 32 C, but now I'm about a 32 A, maybe 32 AA. This has happened pretty quickly and I know for a fact I haven't lost any weight whatsoever. I might have gained weight actually. I haven't been working out at all or eating less, so I don't understand why this is happening. My periods have also become pretty irregular; it's hard to tell when it'll come around. I do get a lot of pain before and while I'm menstruating though. Oh and my boobs do not get larger when my period is near, which used to happen before. I'm not sure if this is related at all, but just in case it is, I've been getting more acne lately and dark spots on my face even though I keep my face clean and hardly eat any "junks". I just feel very tired, weak, and foggy a lot of the time as well. I don't know what's wrong and I don't have any health insurance at the moment. Please help.

Are you on any birth control? This sounds like Depo shot side effects.

OHHHHH, that's a good point!  Thanks for sharing that!
Reduced breast size is not a listed side effect or the Depo shot, but if you google you will see that many other women have suffered the same effect, myself included. And they didn’t come back. Very sad and not worth it for me but we were never informed.
Yikes!  I guess in a way it makes sense because our hormones can involve breast growth or shrinkage.  But they didn't come back?  Ugh.  Have you had a child yet?  Wowie, my breasts changed dramatically when I had kiddos and nursed them.  I grew and while I did shrink back some, I'm now much bustier than I ever was pre kids.  Anyway, again---  thanks for bringing up this great point!

I have the problem too and I hope it stops decreasing soon, because I hated having small boobs. I did the entire time as a teen and most of the time as an adult and it sucked for my self esteem. Worst part is I am not super thin anymore so I cannot really look as good with an A cup as I used to. I am 23 and noticed today that my c cup bra looks a lot more hollow than it used to. I think if anything, I have gained weight so don't understand it either. Guess only a doctor would know for sure.

I didn't expect to see so many others with this problem. I'm a teen and have gone from a 32C to a 32a in 6 months while I haven't gained or lost any weight. I've noticed my belly, back, and thighs looking fatter than usual. I haven't experienced any abnormal amount of acne or extreme change in my period though. But this shift of weight throughout my body is concerning. Did you ever find anything out?

This is crazy, i googled this question on behalf of my gf and came here. Pretty much same symptoms, as all of you and i did not expect this.

She is now 27 it started 2yrs ago. From a 32C to a 32B and even then there is space in the bra but has stayed that size. She doesnt take birth control, and her periods havn't been regular for these past 2 years. Sometimes they are every other week for a couple of days, sometimes heavy for longer than a week, sometimes spotting all month then a heavy flow. I think there has been a few months over the time of 'normal' period but that ends up being the exception rather than the rule. The acne hasn't been a symptom really, however she never had spots as a teenager and has been getting a few this last year that she has been noting as unusual. They do tend to leave the skin red for a while after, is this what u guys mean by 'dark patches'?
Hair loss has also been a symptom although fortunately she had loads of it to begin with.

She is a slim built woman (not skinny!) who likes to keep fit and eats LOADS (really never seen someone so slim able to eat so much cake lol) yet went from 60kg to 50kg really quickly and has struggled to put it back on even to this day.

Doctors have no clue, she has been given a medicine used in diabeties for her hair loss, she think it has worked, eventually. And doctors say her hormones may not be balanced and to stay away from refined sugars, but imo they don't really know. She also has had IBS her whole life and generally eats well.

I don't know if this is useful to anyone and if there is somebody who got a clear diagnosis, please share. I had always thought this was perhaps unique to her but coming across this is showing me there is probably something else going on.

All of those symptoms (especially adding in hair loss) are spelling out PCOS.  Definitely look that up - it stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It often goes hand in hand with thyroid issues.
She needs to get her prolactin levels checked

Hey, I know this question is six years old now, but I would really like to know if you were ever diagnosed with anything? I am 17 years old and have almost identical symptoms, except my periods have been much heavier than they have been previously. About a month ago I weighed in at 105.5 Lbs, and now I am 97.0. I don't exercise, eat a very healthy diet, and am not trying to lose any weight. I am not on birth control. I have noticed loss of fat on my thighs, butt, upper arms, and chest. My breast size has dropped from a 32c to a 32a. I can now fit into the one bra I found at the bottom of my drawer (a 32a) from freshman year, which I had quickly put grown. I am monitoring my weight for a week-- this is my third day of monitoring and I have lost weight from 98 to 97, without exercising, mind you. I am planning to visit my doctor next week. I have not felt hungry like I used to, either, and am currently on my period, which makes it all the more odd, since I am normally ravenous on my period. Please, let me know what was wrong with you so I can help nudge my doctor in the right direction.

If you're on birth control it could be a simple explanation.
Birth control, the kind that deliver progesterone only for example, can throw off your hormone balance. It will cause similar effects as with a pituitary disfunction. No need to jump to any conclusions when it could be something with a very simple fix.
Too much progesterone, or contrarily too little estrogen, could result in weight fluctuations, acne or temporary skin disorders (caused by hormone imbalance, like certain forms of dermatitis), loss of breast tissue (as with decreased estrogen levels when compared to progesterone levels in the body).
Have your doctor discuss birth control options-switching, or adding a new prescription can regulate your levels. You can also discuss the possibility of taking estrogen only of you are currently taking a progesterone only form of birth control (ex: depo or implanon)-adding estrogen could also bring all to a balance.
Best of luck with your problems.

You might have one of two things. Hyperthyroidism or a pituitary gland disorder.
Hyperthyroidism can lead to unexplained weight loss, and often for women it is in their breast area that goes first. You can be tired, weak, etc with it too.

Pituitary gland disorders are very common and can lead to lack of female hormones, hence your loss of breast tissue, and irregular periods.

Get them to do a full thyroid function test to start with.

You are going to have to pay or ask someone to pay for you as left untreated if it is hyperthyroidism, you are going to feel miserable for a long time.
