Feeling very heavy with terrible pains

Hi everyone, i'm 25 weeks along and for the past 4 days i have had period type pains on and off. This happened with my first pregnancy so that's not really worrying me. what is worrying is that today i have felt very very heavy with the period pains but also contractions down low too. Is this just normal second pregnancy stuff or should i get checked out? I have a drs app on tuesday.

I was experiencing extreme pressure and heaviness around my 23rd week...it worried me and so I called my docm. She said it was normal but had me come in to be checked anyway as I was nervous about maybe preterm labor or incompetent cervix...everything was just fine BUT I found out I had a urinary tract infection (first ever).  I felt much better after the round of antibiotics she prescribed.

i have been having more braxton hicks contractions this time around as well, if your concerned take it up with your doctors, they should know what's best
