What do I do?

I have a reoccurring dreams where my brother-in-law's friend rapes me.  They usually go something like this:

It usually starts out that I am out doing stuff alone.  He will somehow manage to push his way in and rape me.  I wake up freaked out and in sweat.
I have never been raped in real life and now I have no idea who to turn to for help.  I still have to be nice to this guy, but I don't know how to talk to him.  I can't go to my brother-in-law, because he will probably just get mad at me.  I can't go to my husband, he will not understand.
I just want to get to the bottom of this, and this dream needs to stop.  What could this dream mean?  Any help would be wonderful.

I'm glad to hear you're not having these horrible dreams anymore and
I'm also glad to hear that your brother-in-law's friend has never done
anything inappropriate or said anything inappropriate. I wish you well. Eve

Hello there,
What a horrifying dream. I realized you posted these comments back in
early 2011.  Sometimes dreams are extensions of our worst fears when
we are awake and these fears slip into our dream world. Has the friend
of your brother-in-law ever made inappropriate sexual remarks to you ?
I see that you are married. Has this same friend of your brother in law
ever touched you in an inappropriate way , flirted with you etc.
If this is a reoccurring dream, I would suggest trying to find a counsellor
and talk about this dream with a professionally trained counsellor.
I don't think your husband or your brother-in-law are the right people to
share this dream with. If you can find a female counsellor that would be
even better. You would probably be more comfortable talking to a female
counsellor about this recurring dream than a male. Personally, I think
a female counsellor would be more supportive and helpful to you especially
considering this type of dream. I have been to see counsellors at various times of my life. They were always female and these women counsellors
have helped me through some rough times in my life like when I was going
through a separation and divorce from my first husband. Of course these
dreams need to stop , but it sounds to me like you need to talk about this
dream and get an opportunity to discuss this with a trained professional
counsellor. You ask, what could this dream mean ?  These are questions
you can ask a counsellor.  One of my female counsellors was a psychologist.  I had to pay out of pocket for the sessions, but to me they
were worth every penny.  The very best of luck to you.   Eve
