sweet tasting tears

I noticed today my tears are tasting sweet rather than salty. This hasn't been the case before. Is there something wrong with me? Has anyone ever heard of something like that or does anyone know what might be the cause of this? thanks for your help.

I experience something similar, my tears smell strongly of grape candy and taste sweet, my blood also smells sweet and not strongly of iron like it has in the past. I wonder if you vape like i do? That is the only thing i can think of that would be causing it. I know vaping does affect your bloodsugar and other than the sweetness in the vape, i rarely have sugar in my diet. I do intermittent fasting and the tears smell and taste sweet even when i havent eaten.

Our bodies sweat, and cry salty fluid regularly, but if yours tasted like sugar it could be your sugar intake is too much. Or if thats your only symptom and you have no pain or fatigue. I wouldn't really stress to much about it. ; )

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I would suggest you get your blood sugar level checked, after 8-10 hours of fasting and two hours after food (post prandial). Diabetes should definitely be ruled out.
Take care!
