I suggest to get the alphabet cards! They are at Walmart in the book section and only $1.50

Today me and my son started them and they have pictures for example one with an apple, and one for an alligators on two different cards. I kept showing him the apple one saying apple. He kept looking, then I took the other and kept telling him it was the alligator. Finally I asked him which one is the apple.. I didn't expect anything. And he pointed to the apple!!!!!!!!! Today we learned Apple, alligator, ball, bee, car, and cake..  I even mixed them all up and put four on the floor at a time and said which one is a car. Without failure he picked the one that was a car!!! He did it everytime!

Also, when I was teaching him cake he said cake! So I gave him a piece ( we have a month birthday every month) and when I said what is this max he said cake! And before every bite he said cake!!!! One shocked and happy momma!!

I took video of it all and when I put it on YouTube for anyone who wants to see just message me :)

My daughter was born Oct 12th- She is 8 1/2 mths right now.

Her 2 bottom teeth are in and I think her top 2 are coming in soon.

She has been crawling since she was about 6 1/2 mths and right now she is pulling hersef up and walking along the furniture from one side to the other and anything else she can hold onto and walk with for support.

She's been saying mamma and mum for the past mth mostly when she wants something from me though lol

She also waves bye bye if you tell her bye and if you ask her for a kiss she will give you one :)

That's what I can think of right now :) Our babies are getting big so quick :(

Aw the babies are growing up. My little Peri will be 9 months on the 6th & she says "I love you" I thought I was going crazy so I recorded it and put it on FB. she's crawling fast now & pulling up & now she's trying to stand up by putting her butt in the air lol not sure how that's going to work.

Oh wow, that's an amazing vocab for him!!
My son doesn't have much of one but the other day he signed "more" for me and it also sounded like he kinda said it too.

Max turned 8 months old yesterday, it was time to put up the baby gate because he was finally interested in the stairs! He also loved that it gave me and Nana a heart attack. Haha.

He started really becoming independent about two-three weeks ago. He is now fully crawling instead of just when he feels like it. He is pulling up on to the tables, sofa and also trying to stand on his own! Scary right?
He is now on a lot more solid snacks ( still toothless) he loves the yogurt melts and puffs. I'm still the worry wart so his yogurts are broken up into 4s.

His favorite movie is Aladdin. That is all he wants to watch, always. It is the only thing he will sit still and actually watch! It can be a savior sometimes.

He is now down to one nap. And sometimes a second. But mostly just one. He goes to bed around 8 and SLEEPS ALL NIGHT oh what an amazing feeling!!

His vocabulary is now:

Dada, Mama, Nana, Pop Pop, Pappy, Baba, Bray, Crying, Hungry( Hun-gray is how he says it) and a few more here and there.

He can now ask or tell me something like " Mama Baba" or "Baba hungry"

They grow to fast!

My daughter was born on October 2nd. She is now crawling and walking along furniture. Shell walk if you hold both her hands but can't stand without holding onto something. She won't say mama :( but she says dada, hi, and buh bye. I can't believe that they are getting so close to their first birthday!

My son has the same birthday as your son!! :)
The last 2 weeks he has mastered crawling and pulling himself up on things. He has his two bottom teeth and I think he's working on the two top now.
He's eating a lot of table foods with the occasional baby food or pureed mix.
Sounds like he says "mum" mainly when he's upset.
He loves dropping things and seeing what happens and is a very busy boy. He's never just laying back and relaxing if he's awake.
I still breastfeed him so he's not sleeping through the night. We were having good nights for a while. He would sleep right till 5am, nurse then sleep till 7-7:30 but it's messed right up again and I think the teething is to blame.
