advice on labor/birth

So tomorrow night I go in to start my induction with Cervadil.    Today i've been having contractions off and on all day, some regular, some not so regular.  What i'm wondering is if the fact that i'm having contractions now will mean that I am dilating and thinning on my own now, and make the induction process go faster then?  Also, I've been having frequent bouts with going to the bathroom also and i'm wondering if that is a symptom of early labor also?  This whole thing is all new to me with this being my first child.

I was induced with my second and for me the contractions were the same as the first and third  babies, it all hurt lol! I dialated at a fairly quick rate after the epidural b/c I was relaxed but like I said that was just me! I am being induced tomorrow at 6am yayayayay!!! and yayyay for you meeting your LO!!!

I was induced with my first baby and I hope it goes better for you than for me. I am surprised by how many women are getting induced. I have been having painful contractions for the last month and this is my second pregnancy! Sometimes its dilating you and sometimes not. I had pitocin with the worst contractions ever and it didnt dilate me at all! Birth is a mysterious thing, no amount of medicine or anything can make your body do what it does not want to. My advise, its YOUR birth and YOU have the choice to chose what you want to happen or not. Do not let doctors and nurses trample you and try to scare you.
