Do not worry, but don’t take any Bisoprolol or any other Beta blocker if you have low blood pressure. PVC will not kill you, but when Beta Blocker is in your system you will be weak as you are already, also you can pass out. I hope your doctor will think about it twice. If not tell him, he works for you and that what he gave you is not your interest. I’ve seen people suffering on BB, but they had to take it, because of serious heart condition. Do you have one? PVC, s doesn’t matter how many not serious enough to put your every day well being in hell.
You should read here the old posts also, lots of people have PVC s and some has it well under control by natural way, like food choices, vitamins, attitude etc without pills.
My best to you to find the way.
Dashing around like a cat on a hot tin roof! :) I would like to feel like that again.
Bisoprolol is the most common beta blocker prescribed by top heart hospitals in the uk and is known to be strong. It is also specific, aiming at specific cells in the heart (receptors). Once my dosage was corrected, I found they helped with symptoms, but I felt sluggish all the time. Not tired as such, just slow. When I came off them after years, I was suddenly dashing around like a cat on a hot tin roof.
I'm trying to contact my family doctor, but she won't be there until friday. I actualy decided to cut my pills in half, for the last two days. So insted of taking 5 mg, I'm taking 2.5 ml.
The cardiologist had told me that Bisoprolol was the weakest beta-blocker! I will ask again to see what my doctor is going to say.
Thanks for your answers.
I was on Bisoprolol, and it worked wonders for me for a couple of years until I was able to stop them. They will slow your heart down only if the dosage is high enough. Also they will only affect blood pressure if the dosage is high enough. Now here's my opinion. Bisoprolol is POWERFUL, in fact it's one of the strongest beta blockers out there. I think 5mg is way too high for a starting point. 5mg dropped my heart rate from 68 to 23 and I ended up in hospital. I would honestly start on 1.25 mg to start, this is what I could tolerate with no drop in heart rate, but it really helped with angina symptoms. Your dosage should start low and work upwards, not upwards and work down. I noticed a lot of benefits from just 1.25mg. That's how strong this medication is.
Forgot to mention that I'm a 30 year old woman.
