MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

There is a duct called the nasolacrimal duct, which connects the lacrimal sac (where the tears collect) to the nose. This duct may get damaged during surgery and can cause watering of the eyes. But sometimes there could be an infection of the lacrimal sac (Dacryocystitis), which can cause watering of the eyes. This can be diagnosed with further testing like syringing of the eyes. You will need to consult your primary care physician for further evaluation, who may then refer you to an ophthalmologist.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
