45 and pregnant

Hi there, this is my first ever posting so bare with me.
I'm not quite sure how this all works but I'm 45 have three grown up kids who are 22,20 and 17. First two are boys.
I have been with my partner for 18 and it's been rocky to say the least but I'm pregnant.  I have'nt said a word to anyone yet. I'm so scared really obviously for all different kinds of reasons.  My partner would be extremely happy there are no problems there, it's just he's younger than me, he's 32 and not that mature at times. Any guidance or advise would be great right now. Thanks for reading.

congratulations girl at being 45 and a BFP.    I am 45 also and have a beautiful little 18 month old son.   He is wonderful and perfect, so I know it can be done at our age.   I did get pg twice this year...we weren't trying, in fact we were trying "not to"....however trying to keep track of the calendar didn't work and we got pg twice at the age of 45.   both of them sadly ended in m/c though.   I did get to see both of them with beating hearts, but two weeks later the heart beats had stopped.    It was so exciting though to know that it still can happen for us at this age.   I'm always crossing my fingers for the 45's out there still getting those pretty pink lines :)

Hello Mel4141, I am almost 43 and got a line today. Hoping that it sticks and is a true bfp. We have been trying for almost 3 years. This year I stopped trying and we decided to foster to adopt. We are almost finished with our certification and will be eligible for foster parenting soon. I was told when taking a class for the foster parenting that so many that fostered tried to conceive and were not able to and then up on taking in kids foud themselves to be pregnant. I did find this funny. Especially if this is a bfp. I have always wanted to adopt. Good luck to you.

I will be 43 next month. I have been trying for over two years and just got what i think is a positive this evening. I am excited and nervous. I stopped trying and after so long I got a line. My husband is 33 and I am 43 (well almost 43) lol. I agree with plumber, if you want the baby you can do it with or without your bf. Again congrats and do what is in the best interests of you and your child. Communication is the key between any healthy couple and the ability to compromise and work things out. If this does not exist there can be trouble down the road. good luck to you what ever you decide.

Im 45 will be 46 in 10 days and I am 26 weeks pregnant! I also have a 23,16 yo dd and 21 yo DS. With that being said this baby has taken 3 years and with many disappointments and a miscarriage we had to go for donor Eggs. At our age it's not easy! Whatever you decide will be good for you, my oldest daughter won't even recognize this baby but I don't care, she's a grown woman! If you want this baby with or without your boyfriend then do it!
If you have love to give then do it! Keep in touch!
Hugs,
Melanie
