TTC after MC

On September 13 I took a hpt which was positive, September 14 I spotted lightly , September 15 it got heavier and I went to the Er. September 18 miscarriage was confirmed. September 24 hcg was back down below 5. (Note: The last time I had sex before the positive Hpt was Aug 10, so I had to be over 5 Weeks when I MC. Drs said they couldn't tell because I had already miscarried and my levels had dropped)

But anyways, on to my question... I have always had very irregular periods and I researched how long it should take for AF to come and I learned that it should come between 4 and 7 Weeks after MC, so that would be between Oct 12 (which has already passed) and Nov 2. I am very eager to get pregnant again because this is something I have wanted for a very long time, so I was thinking about taking another HPT, but I'm not sure if it would be accurate yet? Does anyone have any advice for me on trying to conceive after MC with irregular cycles?

Hello ladies. Nice to meet you, just under crappy circumstances...
I found out I was preggo early august. My cycles were wacky since I had stopped bc in may, so when my boobs were swollen and sore, plus a (probably?) Missed period, I got a faint pos, then 2 days later a definite bfp! We were so excited. Prior to this I had 3 chemical pregnancies in a row.

Mid september, around 8wks, the hb stopped, and the baby measured 6wk3days. After follow up scans, out started looking bad. I went from threatened mc, to inevitable miscarriage. I m/c naturally at the end of sept, I should have been close to 10wks, but my "babies"(surprise! Had twins and no one knew, although I expected since I had to wear maternity pants at 6wks) were stuck at 6 1/2 weeks. I was so in denial at first.

After I passed the second fetus, while in the hospital, and found out my hcg had gone like this : 1st test 19,000  2nd test 35k(2 weeks after first test), 3rd test 28k(3 days later) to finally only 4000 a week later. Took an additional 2 wks to being my hcg all the way down.

We desperately want a baby, and I'm doing everything in my power.

Thank you to everyone that states their stories. It helps.

Hopefully this month will be the one! (i test on the 30th, if I can hold out that long!) I should ovulate friday. Last 2 mornings, my temp went up .3  97.9 last month when I o'd , my avg temp was 98.4 during the luteal phase, and the day AF arrived I went down to 97.9. afterwards, my temp was 97.6.
It's s slowly rising, but I expect the big jump for my o date to happen between thurs and sunday. bd'd today, and will again wednesday, as well as fri/sat for good measure.

Good luck ladies!

Ok! I think I am going to just test every week or until AF comes. I am just so scared of not knowing I am pregnant early enough! I work in a factory and some jobs are physically demanding and I would not work those jobs if I knew I was pregnant. I never really thought about the fact that I really don't know when I even ovulated for sure, I was basically just going by what would be 'normal' and obviously that was crazy of me! Lol

About the Dr... When I found out I was pregnant I was in the process of becoming a full time worker at the factory, and will not be able to get insurance until January, so I signed up for medicaid. I was accepted but because I had a miscarriage I was only approved for 6 Weeks post partum. So that ran out yesterday. I was not happy with the Dr I had to see at all, she was very inconsiderate and was not my Dr of choice. So anyways, they will not see patients who do not have insurance and she pretty much drug out the visits in a way that I really didn't get any answers. Every test that drs have ever done on me since I was 17 though has come back normal and good, so no doctors have ever been able to tell me why my cycles are so irregular. I have done research on reasons cycles are irregular and everything I have found either doesn't pertain to me or has been ruled out by testing...

Sorry that was so long! :)

I believe you can count it yes. Just keep in mind that your body might need a bit of time to recuperate and adjust after being barraged by hormones and then them swiftly being taken away. It could be an extra bit of time to get this cycle back if you aren't already pregnant. You very well could have ovulated later than you would have thought if you were thinking everything was going to just go back to normal.
Have you talked to your doc about you having irregular periods?

Thank you for your response! AF still hasn't shown up and I have taken 2 hpts that were both bfn... I took both within the last few days and both were at night... I know I should take them when I wake up, but I think I have just been too eager. :/ I just wish AF would hurry up and come so that I can start charting, etc... Do you know if I should count the bleeding from the time of my MC as a period?

I've had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and my cycle came right back up on time.
But a mc can always really mess your cycle up and being irregular prob doesn't help your case.
If you have expected your period and it hasn't showed then I would test just to see. If you get a negative and no period still then maybe test a week later and so on.
It took me 3 months to get pregnant after I had my miscarriage. So sorry for your loss :(
