Bad Hearing!

I am a 57 year old female..I had been doing drugs and drinking off & on since I was 14..I got hooked on Methadone, adderall, and a Benzo at night only..I have 247 days clean..I was told that the Brain Nero-transmitters will take at least 1 to 2 years to balance back..I study the "Diseases of Addiction and the Pleasures Pathway" so I am aware of some of the Serintion, gabba, endorphins dopamine ect..Could this be the cause of my Low Hearing??Could it come back as the brain fires back up?? Or is it just older age..They see nothing blocking my ears..I can not hear the people at my meetings real well..I do have to sit close..The TV is louder then my Hub has it..Any Ideas or where I can find any info..can this be related to drug use??? Thank You I will be back to check this out!
Bless

Sorry about the delayed response. Have you had your hearing tested?  I recommend that you do this. Several types of drugs can affect your hearing, sometimes it is temporary but it could be permanent, especially if you have been clean for almost one year.  There could be other reasons for your hearing loss which may or may not be interacting with the drug use.  I recommend that you see an audiologist for a hearing test.
