recurrent boils on inner labia

Hie,

I am a lady aged 26. I have never had sex. I started having boils on my inner labia when i was 14. there would appear on the same spot once a year. from the time i was 20 their frequency increased. they now appear every month right before my period. i get a painful lymph node with these boils. My doctors once thought it was herpes and was tested. the tests came back negative.
he says that its a condition that is on my nerves and will be there.
I have only tried to have oral sex with my boyfriend coz i am afraid of this condition.

Can you infect someone?
Is sex possible?
Does anyone know of any thing that can help, that I can try.

Worried sick.

Google Hidradenitis Suppurativa. It's a disease of the hair follicles.

See a dermatologist for a diagnosis if you think this is what you have, but it's not that well-known, so a lot of doctors aren't that familiar with it. To see if there is one near you, google your area and hidradenitis suppurativa, like "New York City  hidradenitis suppurativa" or "London  hidradenitis suppurativa", or Paris, Moscow, Dallas, or wherever. I'm sure you get the idea lol. If you live in a small town, you might get better luck if you look in the closest large city/town.

Hello,
On the labia minora, boils can occur because of plugged sweat glands that can become infected. Other than that, these can be infected cysts also. Diagnosis can be confirmed only after examination.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,
Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus.  Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle.

Since you are getting boils repeatedly, diabetes should be ruled out.
