Hi..I just seen this really nice program about a Brain Dr that showed how different areas of the brain are affect with music and such..I can not explain it but it was so good..SO Keep on Rocking because music is good for the Soul. I did record it so I will take notes on it and maybe put it in a Journal.
Bless us ALL!!
I think music resonates with every cell in my body. When I lived in my van all my music was stollen, with my clothes, blankets, radio, everything I owned. I never replaced my collection. Pandora is it now. They can see the chemical changes in the brain when music is played. I don't listen to heavy metal or negative lyrics anymore for that reason. I have a group of Sufi Deadhead friends who have dances here a couple times a year. Everyone spins and dances to a live Dead show. Sometimes I swear my arm passes through someone's body. Music helps me feel the oneness of the universe. It makes me cry, laugh, inspired on many levels. I called Bob Marley my preacher as a homeless teen. I'm not Rasta, but Marley made peace between waring politicians with music. Sometimes my manic mind can make moving images to classical or jazz and it relieves my stress. I think singing to myself has helped the most. 'You put your little foot right there, and your other foot there, lalalalala, I'm wearing the pants now, lalala, headed off to work.' My family jokes about how we live in a musical. It's really funny to hear the kids sing their thoughts and inflections they use. I like to sing in Spanish too, I need to busy out my guitar. Winter is coming, let music fill the air.
I wouldn't have made it this far without YouTube!
