had my 18wk ultrasound today

had my ultrasound today baby is healthy which is my main concern but I  found out im having a little boy..I was really hoping for a little girl.. is it normal to feel upset  when u had ur heart set on a little girl.... I have 3 children a girl thats nearly 18 and two boys 15 and 10...I have a new partner and what scares me he has pervious children to other women a boy and two girls. ..my worry is he doesn't have much to do with his boy its all about his girls this hos girls that..its there the apple of his eye ....now that we are having a boy I see the disappointment in his eyes already...thats what makes me feel worst :(

Like you said main thing is that the baby is healthy.... I'm sure it's only a temporary thing feeling disappointed. .. once your bundle of joy is here and your holding him in your arms. ... you won't even remember you had this conversation. ... and if you do. .. you'll probably be kicking yourself. ... congrats!

It's normal to not be happy when you find out you are having the opposite sex that you originally wanted. And there really isn't anything that your partner can do about it. It has been shown that girls are more tied to their father where boys are more tied to their mother. I am sure that as time goes on you will get more excited about your little guy!
