worried anxiety and periods

Hi I'm 19 year old and I am being treated for anxiety and I'm always stressed out about my health and thinking I have a serious illness and thinking I'm going to die. My doctor put me on propranolol/beta blockers on 16/04/2014 which was last month. Sometimes I was missing them and only taking 1-2 day. What I was wondering is people that have been or are stressed or been on propranolol have they had problems with their period? I got my period on 2 may this month and it was very light like a red/brownish and only lasted 2 days approximately and my periods normally last up to 5-6 days and are quite heavy. 2 weeks later I have come back on again this time seems normal I'm quite heavy. Has anyone else had this problem or similar and would you say it's something to worry about I just want to talk to people with the same situation so I feel comfortable and can kinda put my mind at rest a little. And also people on propranolol what side affects would you say you get and what symptoms are in anxiety thanks

Thanks for using the forum.

Stress and anxiety can make your period irregular. You can have changes in flow and length of cycle as well as missed periods.

Why did your doctor start you on propanalol? You should make sure you take it as the doctor prescribed it.
