Quarantined NJ Nurse / in Maine says, "I don't plan on sticking to the guidelines...

.... I remain appalled by these home quarantine policies that have been forced upon me, even though I am in perfectly good health and feeling strong and have been this entire time completely symptom free,”...

What are your thoughts?  Do you agree with her? Post your comment below the poll.

This sure died down... anybody hearing anything about it now?

The judge made the comment to her (paraphrased) that she should recognize that people's fear is real and she should conduct herself accordingly.  I wonder if she's taking his advice.  Probably not...

All of these people returning have done a wonderful service, but they do need to be cognizant of the fact that there is an incubation period and the public will have a fear until they've been shown to be free of the disease.  We all know that the more people they associate with, the more risk of exposure.

Kaci Hickox was very selfish with her bahavior; I hope others will not be.

I agree she is very self centered.  If she didn't want all this attention she could have just kept quiet and gone home.

She is an extremely self-centered individual, lacking maturity and a sense of responsibility. One wonders about her infection control protocols when she was in Africa.

The NBC News just posted a story that the nurse went out for a bike ride! She's still waiting to hear from the State of Maine.

My son is the principle scientist with a well known pharmaceutical Co.  He deals with the federal Gov. all the time! He said everyone leaving Africa's area of ebola should be quarantined before leaving I agree!

Better safe than sorry. Apparently dosent take much to pass it on. They say its from direct fluid contact but i think theres another factor causing it to spread and maybe we are not getting the whole story to avoid a panic in the streets.

I agree with Shannon and its a small time compared to spreading this thing around ..I do think that this admin should get its act together regarding what is happening to protect the American people ..

Me personally, I think she should be quarantined. She was in contact with people who had Ebola or were exposed to it. Nobody wants to be exposed to and risk getting it. I don't understand why she doesn't understand that. She's a nurse! She should be one of the ones that understand how infectious this illness is.

The world doesn't revolve around you lady. Other people have had to be quarantined because of exposure to it. What makes you so special that you don't have to follow the same quarantine procedure?
