Babies also have about 5 growth spurts in the first year of life. They'll eat like there's no tomorrow during one of those. http://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/ask-heidi/baby-growth-spurts.aspx

Dang yea I feel so tierd but the doctors had told me to never give them a pacie or a bottle until 4 weeks of them being born and my husband won't let me pump and feed until then since the docots told us not too so yea I wish there was an other alternative to feed and won't be thru formula like from your finger or something that would be better

My baby boys Is 2 weeks 4 days now. When I took him home from the hospital  he used me as a human dummy for 6 hrs straight.it's not that they need feeding it just comforts them sucking.  So try a dummy hold them close and they will settle.  Still feed regularly of course! !but remember to take care of your nipples! I didn't want to give my buba  a dummy.  But in the end I had To i don't encourage him to have it all the time  but when he's just been feed and won't settle and he just wants to comfort suck that dummy sure saved me and my nipples !!

Mine does the same!!  The second night I was in the hospital,he fed constantly, I got maybe 30min before he wanted to be fed again and he would nurse for 40-60 min at a time!!  (This was from like 9pm-7am)  The docs and nurses said to try to give him a pacifier.  That helped a little, but at 3 wks, he still constantly eats (at times he eats every hour in a 3-4hr hour block)!!  I have started supplementing because he will nurse on both sides and still wants more!!  When I pump, I get 6oz, so I know I am producing, he's just one hungry baby!!  I am struggling with keeping up with him!!
