Spitting up baby

I'm breast feeding and for day 2 now he has been spitting up.. well actually I wouldn't call it spit up more like projectile vomiting. But only when he eats from my left side. Has anyone else had this happen or know maybe what it is causing it? He also hasn't pooped as much today as he has been. I haven't ate anything spicy or anything other than what I have been. He is 3 weeks Monday

I was told to only nurse for 10-20 minutes each breast. Your milk could be coming out too quickly on your left side causing your baby to eat more than what he actually needs, hence the vomiting.

Thank youni will have to try that. I been getting worried didn't know what was going on in his little tummy. Do I need to only let him eat for a certain amount of time or no?

My lactation consultant showed me a new position because I was having the same problem. If you put baby's legs around one of yours like they're strattling it and breastfeed that way so they're sitting up it will help baby digest the milk better, and also keep baby upright for 10-15 minutes after feeding. My baby barely spits up anymore :)
