Catheter stories!!!!!!

Had to get one when I got checked today because I thought I was in labor because of the excruciating back pain but to no avail I still wasn't dilated. I was slightly forced to get a catheter to check for a bladder infection to what's causing the back pain. I literally have leaked a lot since they inserted and removed it. I have no control of my bladder and it stings a bit and spotted a little. Normal or not?

My water broke at the hospital in bed....then had a c-section. Two weeks later got a bladder infection.  I know this because I spiked a fever. However,  I was still on pain meds so I didn't feel the pain. I let it go and didn't call my doctor for ten more days. I thought I was going to die!!!  Massive uti and kidney infection. Why didn't they just ask you to pee in a cup I wonder?

It was in and out for less than 15 seconds. How can I have one because of it?

You may have a uti or bladder infection. Common after having a catheter, call your doc for a script.
