Positive Group b strep test

I came up positive for the group b strep test and now I'm really nervous!! The dr said not to worry and that they will treat me during pregnancy. However I looked into it online and now I'm even more nervous. Anyone else test positive? Or anyone deliver before that tested positive? Do I need to be this worried or am I making a mountain out of an ant hill?

Nothing to worry about, I tested positive with my first. They will just give you antibiotics. If I remember correctly, they need to get at least 4 full bags of the antibiotic in before you deliver. I worked myself up about it too when I first found out I had it and its really no biggie and its also very common!

I have never tested positive but have had friends who did and everything was fine. They give you antibiotics through IV when you go in to deliver to help prevent the baby from getting sick. You and baby will be fine, be sure when u go into hospital you remind them that u did test positive. Best wishes
