what happened at your 38w check up?

I've got another check up with the midwife on Friday, I'll be 37+6.

Do they do anything different now that you're full term?  Am I likely to have a cervical exam?  I've not had one up til now.

I've opted for a repeat CS which is scheduled for 39+3.

I've been checked for dilation since 35 weeks. I was 1 cm at 35 weeks. The 2nd I was 2 cm and the 10th at 38 weeks I was 2.5 cm. I go back Wednesday the 17th to schedule an induction around my due date - the 24th.

On my first pregnancy I wasn't checked for dilation until I was 40w.

I usually got monitored for fetal heartbeat and contractions, then have an ultrasound.. And that was it.

This pregnancy is different cause I have been on risk for preterm labor since week 33. So I have had vaginal facts to check for dilation since then, also a vaginal ultrasound to measure cervix.
