I have had a numbness in mainly my left big toe, less noticeable in my right one, for at least a year and a half. It hasn't been very noticeable and I occasionally forgot about. I went to the doctor finally to get my blood checked after I realized it wasn't going away, should have done this earlier. My doctor told me that I have gout and to cut way back on alcohol and bread. I've read the definition and I've never had a painful "gout attack." I'm wondering if my situation is a different type of gout or something very similar because it is constant but not painful? If anyone has insight that would be great
