Interest in a CP exercise aid?

Hello,

I am working with a group of students at Johns Hopkins University on a design project to help individuals with Cerebral Palsy exercise. The idea would involve a harness system, in home, that is set up in any doorframe and would provide support for users to exercise on things like treadmills/ellipticals. This device would be for children and young adults. Do you believe this would be a device you or your would be interested in using? Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I know my girlfriend w/cp is looking for solutions  (she's young adult size) and I know she is also struggling with effects of cp as effectively adding age (a 37 yr old dealing with issues more typical of a 57 yr old) which then both make exercise needs even more vital- example a simple assist with something to keep her legs and hips straight while she does partial sit-ups/an crunch type exercises (bladder control issues being a  common cp difficulty increase the need for ab / core strength- and a potentially very embarrassing issue that is therefore even more difficult to talk about/share- Maybe not a direct answer to your question, but may help you with add'l perspective?
